get wicked glass and the body will produce decent images. im about to start investing in good glass to upgrade from my kit lens
no, you can get decent images from kit lenses. you can even get amazing images from kit lenses. Expensive glass will only help in difficult lighting situations like in a dark room or when shooting into the sun (less flare). It is also good for making your wallet lighter
oh i wasnt saying you cant get good images from kit lenses, i have got some wicked shots(if i do say so myself) on my stock 18-55mm, and yeh it is hell easy to throw lots of $$$ at a middle of the range lens, let alone top of the range.
in saying that, one of my favourite lenses lately has been the canon “nifty fifty” hell cheap, and hell good haha
actually me too. 50mm on aperture priority on F2 ftw!
My favorite lens cost me $50 It’s a macro lens I use for telephoto.
My 85-200mm kit lens wont zoom back.
The (very) good lenses I have are canon but I shoot with a Nikon body, with an adapter they will work but are very difficult to get the settings right.

Had a quick 2 minute look last night and saw one for under $1600!!!! Aussie Dealer!!!!
Should be able to shop around for a good deal if we buy at the same time????
Are you liable for tax if ya bring one in from os??? Warranty???

mate i got no idea wat the warranty n that would b if ya get 1 from overseas… maybe you would have 2 post it 2 them or something but yea if we can get a good deal 4 two cameras ill b keen 2 go in on it
i bought mine from a dealer overseas and they have warranty, just have to ship it back to them

i will pm you the place i got mine from, my mates have also shopped there (canon 7d, canon 60d, panasonic tz10, olympus…something) and not had any problems. mate had to send his 7d back once and it was fairly easy. they even have a physical store in Aust now i believe.
