One would hope it would stimulate some competition because the way it is now is farken ridiculous, honestly I would love to see there outgoings versus what they make each year. I think a detailed look at there books would show up some major inefficiencies in the way they conduct business otherwise why are the resorts on other parts of the world able to operate at a lower cost to the customer. Dunno if it’s the length of season but the mountains here seem to get pretty damn crowded from time to time.
I don’t know if I’d pay the price of going to the real snow, but would this have an effect on prices for the NSW resorts? Thredbo and Perisher having abit of competition from a rival that is both closer and more accessible to all skill levels.
Fingers crossed, I’m all for both!
This is exactly what the Australian snow industry needs. I really hope it goes ahead as planned.
I doubt they would charge nearly as much as the resorts.
I just had a long chat with the director of the project. The snow dome is legit and the plans sound incredible. Stay tuned for more info…
Thanks for findind that out Jeremy. Fingers crossed hey

Even if they charged close to it, im sure it would still be quite successful based on the fact that it would operate all year around and even during the season, it is much more accessible

Jeremy can’t spell “doubt”
you guys would really pay $104 dollars a day for one slope?
It won’t cost that much. I seriously doubt it would be half of that.

As rider said, it probably wouldnt cost that much. However, wait till it’s the middle of summer and then you’d get instant replies to get question. I pay about 50 for a day ticket at buller cos im still a year 12 student
I would buy a yearly pass for sure. The Dome is also meant to have surfing and skating facilities.
Something like this would be so good for the industry.
did they give you an idea of where it is planned to be built?... imagine being able to surf in the morning, penrith cable park in the arvo, then night time shred session!!!
this would be the sickest thing planning a trip wouldnt ride on the fact of how bad our snow is sometimes. and it would save bus prices and instead of staying in some expesive lodge you can just stay at some comfort inn or something. but also it will make alot of people in australia good at snowboarding so instead of riding around getting cut at kooks in the park you will be getting cut that your the kook now haha.
ps. imagine walking around in bondi with a snowboard
yEwwww

Penrith Cable Park closed years ago. I used to love going there on weekends. Did they open another one??
I wouldnt be surprised if they put it somewhere near eastern creek and the drags etc
