New VWs on the other hand…. I wouldn’t want to own one for longer than the warranty. I used to be a Mechanic in a Mazda/VW workshop.
Though I will say the VW Golf R is still one of the most awesome cars I’ve driven… Next to my RX-7 of course 
New cars are only worth their warranty.

A dude at work had one, it was just losin all power (electrically) as he was drivin along!!!!! No brakes, No power Steer!!!!!
Took him a while with Fair Trade but he got his $$$ back in the end!!!!!
