Haven’t spent much time looking at newer stuff but the above has a watercooled section and plenty of powerful beetles, buses etc. including a race section. No-one there is auto-racist, like every VW enthusiast they are very accepting and sharing - must be all the hippy inbreeding. I think you need to sign up to view photos.

I put the first coat of black paint on the one panel that is black last Saturday.
Now I’ve decided to buy a new car I’ll be able put MY68VW aside to work on without worrying about getting it back together for daily use. It’s likely to be a while until the strong gearbox is built that will handle the power of the engine.
It will be very nice being able to do everything I want without keeping on top of everyday maintenance.
