Which would be better? iPad 2 or Macbook Pro?
My parents are offering to buy me either a Macbook Pro or an iPad 2 with a keyboard and mouse (lucky I know) and Im just wondering what would be better for things like school work, surfing the internet and iTunes. I’m not really bothered about weight, size or battery life as I’ll pretty much be using it at my desk also, being able to play games such as the Sims or apps and being able to watch movies with a good quality picture is quite important Any help?
i would go 4 a macbook pro i got 1 myself and ive had no problems with it… personally i think ipads r a waste of money

You realize that it is the software you are liking here, not the actual computer. MacOS is a good operating system and if you like it and know how to use it, then power to you! Personally, I would go Linux over MacOS but each to their own.

Definitely need an apple on the back of your screen or it ain’t a mac. Sort of like playing an xbox and forgetting what console you are playing so you look down at the controller just to check.
The even better thing about the mac craze is that people buy desktops as macs. Then after 2-4 years, you can’t upgrade and it has to go to the rubbish. Where as my PC in 2-4 years can get a new Mobo, Processor and RAM and work for another 2-4 years for <$500
