149s on an 8.25 deck?

Hey there guys,
I’m looking for a bit of advice on my next deck/truck combination. I’m currently riding an 8.25 with Destructo 139s, which fit perfectly. I recently received a set of Thunder 149s and another set of Destructo 139s. I really want to try out the Thunders, but everyone I know who rides 149s rides an 8.5 deck or wider. So here’s my question. If I get another 8.25 deck will the Thunders be too big for it?

I think they’re going to be too big for an 8.25, Lewis. You might need to step the deck up a size.

Yes the 149’s will be too big for the deck. Maybe you need to man up to a bigger deck ha ha.

General guide line. Truck width 5.0/129 deck width 7.5-7.75, truck width 5.25/139 deck width 7.8-8.25, truck width 5.5/149 deck width 8.25-8.75.

This a general guide, some trucks can be wider than others. So always check against your deck before final decision.
