Melbourne’s all season Snowflex - it’s happening!

Lol there is one at my parents house… my bro bought it off some random for $50 and it has been ridden (never by me)

To put it simply, its a 156 and it is stiffer than a 162 Custom X lol. Hell if you can bend it more than an inch I’ll be impressed!

The bindings though aren’t that bad lol.

Moving this to News and Events.

I’d rather make most of my time there and use a decent old board rather then a junk board tbh.

I don’t think that it could do any more damage than our limited snow cover that we get over here, could ever do anyway!!!!

snowslider has nevery really complained about excessive board wear on SnowFlex. Other artificial slope materials can be bad. The stuff I was on at Baw Baw in summer for their dryslop/airbag set up was terrible. Hard plasticy bristles which killed to fall on and wore through my board. Snowflex is suposed to be pretty harmless

Looks like things are slowly progressing.

Construction of the hill has stopped while they await some permits, but more drawings have been done.

So pumped for this!

Still a long way from happening, but here’s an update I found.

Sep 3, 2014

SnoActive is picking up where All Seasons Skiing and Snowboarding left off and is working to secure a fantastic site for Australia’s first Snowflex® snow sports facility. The opening date is still 3 years away, but right now we need to raise capital, generate interest and demonstrate community support for the project.

SnoActive will be similar to the Noeux les Mines facility in France (see video on the home page of our website http://www.snoactive.com.au ). If you would like to see this in Melbourne, please register on our website and like our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/SnoActive/277714319057506
Every bit of support will lend weight to our project.

If you would like to get involved, I would be very happy to hear from you.
Steve
