Weekend’s going to be sah-weeeeeeeet!

Mrs Empire has arranged for a heap of us to head down to Sorrento on Friday night, then all the blokes are heading out on a fishing charter for the day on Saturday whilst the ladies… actually, who gives a rats what they’ll be doing, we’re going fishing! Then it’ll be either a big night out or a big night in around a fire, depending on the weather. Recovery day Sunday and maybe even sneak in a surf or two while I’m at it…

Bump.

Spending a day each in Chicago and Milwaukee this weekend, then comes a 24-hour marathon work session Monday to Tuesday. It looks like the temps warm up a bit to around 15 tomorrow and 11 the day after, and should stay dry. Hopefully also a quick tour of the Burton Store in Chicago to see what’s new this year.

So hello flat Midwest USA.

Did exactly as I planned, drove to Milwaukee on Saturday and Chicago on Sunday.

I had the chance to try on a few pairs of boots, I thought the Nikes were pretty good (Kahju’s and ZF1), and also sank my feet into the Burton SLX, Ion, and Imperial. The Burton ones are way expensive, though. $570 for a pair of SLX’s, ouch!

All were pretty good, although I’m still not in the mood (or financial shape) to buy new gear.

Busy as weekend making gridiron field centerpieces for our presentation night! Oh and a whole heap of gardening (something that took a backseat during football season!)

K2, that look sick !!!!!

I have 11 alpacas that badly need a hair cut. I have never done it before, but honestly, how hard can it be? I’ve cut the boys hair before and I think I did Ok. They didn’t bleed or anything.
I also get to cut their toe nails and give them injections…...... Alpacas, not the boys, although, that could be fun too.

I thought it would be a good time to bump this thread.

I don’t have too much planned for this weekend. We’re going to see a few of our friends, take the dog out, and do a big shop at Coles so I can get back to my creative cooking next week!

What are you guys doing?
