Honestly I was a bit bummed about the injuries at first but some time off has been great, just chilling out in the new house in Whistler Cay Heights and giving the body a well deserved break.

The 2nd last time I went up just over a week ago there would have been about 15cm out at 7th which was pretty cool. Have been a few other days since but still hardly any bluebird days. Was sunny yesterday but it’s overcast again today. You could ride down to the bus stop last week but looking up the hill yesterday it’s looking like it’ll be time to download excalibur soon.

I rode down to the Village a few days ago - was pretty slow going and you had to ollie over a dirt road just before the bottom. I decided to park the car at Base II yesterday, there’s still good amount of snow down to Base II, no issues at all.

Yeah Finney, I think you’re making the right decision to let your body heal. Personally I can’t wait for a few physio sessions and some Bikram Yoga. It’s been a great season, you have to be stoked with what we’ve had.

So you going to make it down to the Shred?

Yeah I’ll be at the shred if all things go to plan. Will need to assess the finances once I’m back home to determine as to whether its a week or a few days.

Dunno how active this thread is as the season is pretty much done for winter 10/11.  I was hoping to pick some peoples’ brains.  I’m heading out to whis for the summer and i’m trying to apply for some summer jobs in advance.  I’ve already applied to ziptrek but the whistler blackcomb site only has two posted (both not relavant).  Basically my question is: what are the best places (funnest or most relavant to my skills as a snowboard instructor) to work for the summer.  Any advice would be most appreciated.  Ta.

Is this for real? Forecast calls for 15-20cm today. Wondering should I go Friday or Saturday?

I think if the sun’s out and alpine gonna be open I’m gonna go Friday. Anyone up for a shred?

Hey Aidy, I just spoke to Michelle and she recommended the following:

Whistler Golf Course - http://www.whistlergolf.com/careers (apparently a lot of people work there and at other courses over the summer).

As a guide with one of the tour companies.

Whistler Bike Park. http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/employment/divisions/Bike+Park.htm

And of course there’s the regular bar jobs etc.

Sweet! Can’t wait to shred some more powwww. What time are you gonna be there Jer? Just gonna plan which bus should I take (6.30 or 8 AM) on friday.

I haven’t been waking up that early lately. Not sure, probably around 10am at the earliest haha.  wink

I wouldn’t get your hopes up too much. Looks like the freezing level today will be at 1900 metres and rising to 2100 tomorrow. Anyway, we’ll go hunting for pow if there’s any chance of finding some!

Haha okay, I’ll probably be taking the 8AM bus then arriving there around 10.30ish. Hopefully there will be some pow.
