Is stealing regarded as something acceptable in Australia?
Here in Japan, theft & muggings are quite rare. We never lock the doors to our house - hell, we never even had locks until the house was renovated 2 years ago! I feel totally confident leaving a camera bag with thousands of dollars of gear on the front seat at a parking lot. I lock the car doors but don’t feel it is that necessary. Let me tell you, it’s such a breath of fresh air not to have to worry about your stuff getting nicked. It is something to admire about Japanese culture.
note: I am not Japanese, and in Canada stuff gets stolen if you leave it out.

Gamblor that is one of the things that really stood out for me on my trip to Japan. No crime. It just doesnt cross their minds. People at our hostel in Tokyo were leaving all their board bags in the stairwell near the hostel whilst they travelled round japan to see the other sights for a couple of weeks.
I also admire that about their culture.

I got these after winning a prize pack in a sticker contest on BW in ‘09.
Still my favorite shoe but Big Undie seem to be no more :-(

I’m assuming this thread is just about looks, otherwise I would have said my snowboard boots because to be honest I’m a free sole and don’t use footwear much.

There is no way I would have worn Nike Air Walks. Even If I could of afforded them I grew up in Campbelltown.

Growing up in Campbelltown, the only decent shoes I ever got were my Basketball shoes… and even then they were only $100 which is like the cheapest ones you can get lol. Runners were always K-Mart and school shoes were just black runners lol.

I hear ya TJ,
Growing up in C’town in the 80’s even KT-26 ($25) were a risk to be rolled for.

Hahahahahhahaa!!!!! KT-26’s!!!!! I even had a pair of KT Walkers for goin out!!!!!  red face

Hard to believe they were expensive at $25. Then Converse high tops came along at over $100.

I think even the most expensive football boots I got were $60. Hand made leather!!!!

Shoes are so over priced these days. How much are Ugg Boots - a bit of dead sheep wrapped around ya foot, cave men did that!!!
