What’s Mt Ruapehu like for snow/terrain but???? Anyone been there???? Give us a spiel!!!!
I rate Whakapapa and Turoa on Mt Ruapehu as the best commercial resorts in New Zealand (followed by Ohau). This is from a freeriding perspective. If you’re into park, you’re better off hitting up Queenstown or Wanaka. The only drawback with Mt Ruapehu is that it’s so open - so you can cop a few down days due to weather.
Aren’t ‘down days due to weather’ expected everywhere in NZ??
Told my sister about this deal as she’s moving to Auckland. She and her boyfriend were stoked at how cheap it is! Only wish I could make use of it…
Don’t know if it’s been mentioned already, but I think the deal expires around nowish or very soon.

Hehe, yeah.

Ruapehu is the king of bad weather though, easily 20+ closed days each season.
As staff there, I’m a big fan of impromptu days off. The paying customers, not so happy…
Do you still get paid for closed days?
