Do you guys know where the best tracks are in Victoria? I don’t mind the apres vibe as much, but the snow and vertical are the main issues.
I have been to Hotham and Falls Creek in Victoria. In regards to freeriding, Hotham has to rate up there as the best I’ve seen in Australia.
Hotham is my clear favorite. I have been shown some photos of back country at Mt Bogong a mate took 2 winters ago where he and another guy hited and camped for 5 days and you wouldn’t think it’s Oz. After I check this out this year I’ll keep you posted.
I am not biased…........ Hotham for inbounds steeps for sure and easy access back (soft) country.
Buller looks insane for some gnarly chutes and steeps, sadly I have not been there with enough snow for this to be possible.
Hotham.
Buller has some good stuff, but all other things being equal, id rather ride Hotham
Hotham hands down.
Although have heard that Buller can be awesome you need at least 150cm to open up the whole mountain and to the awesome parts.
I’d Say Hotham
