Japan resorts are always quiet and there is hardly ever any chairlift queue.
I went to Hokkaido in Japan about 3 years back but a shame i skiied there instead of boarding.
Thanks for all the feedback!!! The yoga shots are usually done on a few different days in a few locations. I just did a shoot with a new restaurant but not as happy with how the shots turned out as the owner was having me shoot paying customers which at over $100.00 a plate I was a little hesitante to interupt them to pose for the photo. Im hoping to head back with a few friends to pose and give that “Im having the time of my life” look.
I will let you know when I update the web site again. Probably be next week some time.
In your first photo rider I can’t help but notice the lack of other people. Was it early/late or are Japanese resorts very quiet?
That is my cousin on the chair infront of me. I haven’t been to Niseko, but one reason I went to Hakuba was because I knew it was very quiet. We had so many powder days, some days the only tracks where we were riding all day was ours. So much pow, so many different lines to take… great times.

Great to here. Sounds like a great place. Japan is an awesome country

That’s a bit strange, the last thing I’d want at that price is a photo opportunity, maybe if the food was free

Sooo jealous man.
how much did the trip cost in all?
Here’s a couple of my photos. I’m no photographer. They were from fires on a ridge near my house in 2007. I like the bomber shot but once again the quality is minimal compared to so many photos here.

Hey Nic, were you affected by this year’s bushfires?

just a small selection.
Wow, excellent work Banger. A lot of diversity of talent in that selection of photos.
Nice ones Banger!
As snowslider said, that’s a very nice diverse set.
Here’s a few Ben Harper pics to go with yours. I took these at the Point Nepean Festival a few years back.
nice shots of the harp…front row or in the media trenches? mine were from east coast blues and roots…setup behind the sound console. hence the long range.
