The worst is when they don’t sit in your pocket but move and end up digging into your leg
I dont get that often but i just hate it cos my sorta makes a jiggling noise when i walk around…
If they’re on a thread they won’t make that noise in my experience but if they’re on the little linked ball things then they well as they hit it. I’ve never actually used it and find it to be a waste of a pocket.
They’re meant for surfies and their boards but i hate surfing.
imo, why surf when you can snowboard?
im sure others will say why snowboard when you can surf. and i say “because you need to paddle back out into the waves but you can just get back on the lift when you snowboard”
They might answer get towed by a rip Good season turn over and nice to get in the heat sometimes rather than the cold. Snowboard winter, surf summer. But if I had to choose it’d be snowboarding easily
Thanks for all the advice guys.
I managed to find a paint scraper we have lieing around so I made do with that.
It wasn’t really a cost issue, just being too lazy/not having time to make it to the shop.
Phone order never occurred to me…..

Good to here you ended up finding one. How’d you end up going on the waxing?

They are 2 different sports. and unrelated.
Skatebaording was more related to surfing, as it was called sidewalk surfing and created as a way to ‘surf’ when the waves were flat… Snowboarding is a different creation all together.
The above question would have many answers… as many as “why play polo when you can play water polo?” similar but different.
I’d think that all sports are very related. Although skating more related to snowboarding thans surfing is.
If someone got me in a debate of “why surf when snowboard?” im pretty sure it’d go on forever.
I’ve done surfing a fair few times, im nothing close to good and im still not a fan of it though
Being unrelated there are some small similarities but when it comes down to it they are different sports as snowslider said.
I still cant find much about this on the net but what happens if you use parrafin/candle wax for your board.
Will it stuff it up or just slow it down?

Quick search found this:
Being that I have a chemistry background I think I can shed some light here…
Yes you can use candle wax and it will work to a point.
But all you really need is standard “Parrafin” wax. That is the wax that is primarily used for canning etc.It is thicker than candle wax and yes Parrafin wax has been used in the ski industry for decades now and it is the wax that you will find in your local snowboard shop.
The snowboard wax you buy is parrafin wax by nature. The only difference is they cut the primary base by 5% for Temperature purposes (yellow for one temp, red for another) but it is parrafin wax. The only reason they produce it is to make money…but its no secret by any means.
SO! Bascially what I am saying is forget the overpriced yellow/red wax one would buy at a snowboard/ski shop and forget the candle wax completely..Run to your grocery store and buy “Gulf Wax” which is parrafin wax and you will be fine. It even says right on the box you can use it for ski/snowboards.
Thanks a massive lot for the link dude.
I gathered from that link that it’ll only work in some conditions because the actual snowboard wax includes fluro.
Actual snowboard wax should last longer and the more expensive waxes (comp stuff) should be a fair bit nicer than paraffin. It’d be interesting for someone to try riding with both though.
