I just tested the Transcend goggles by Recon Instruments (collaboration with Zeal Optics). They measure speed, altitude, distance, temperature, and a bunch of other stuff - all of which can be viewed within the goggle. You can actually see your speed in the goggle display while you’re riding. I’ll be writing a full review on the goggles soon, but check it out here: http://www.reconinstruments.com/

Yeah mate, I felt like Robo<strike>cop</strike>shredder. I got pulled up by Mountain Safety while I was testing it (hit 82km/h on a blue run coming into a slow zone). I went up the the Saddle to see if I could get any faster but it was ungroomed with too many people on it - got to 85km/h though. The technology is super cool, I’d really like to see it developed further and into smaller frames.

That’s moving!! How much are they

I think they said they retail for about $400. I’ll find out for sure and put it in my review. One of the guys running the demo hit 106km/h at the Saddle the day before, but it was early in the morning, fresh groomed, and fast. Still, it was pretty sweet to finally get an idea of how fast I’m moving.

106km/h that is intense!!! What an awesome technology!
