Morning from Sunny Brisvegas

What an epic few days we have had

Got up early on Friday, worked, packed and got organised to head off to QLD.

Dropped daughter off at train, she had school stuff in Melbs, picked up rest of kids ready to roll out to Yass, 1:30pm. Get there around 7:00, not bad.
Hour from home we come across a motorcycle crash, luckily for us we were about 100mtrs back and the kids couldn’t see anything, sadly one less rider in the world and driver of car sent to hospital

This put us behind an hour and a half, so we pulled the pin on Yass, booked something online in the Nations capital.

Quick (I mean quick) stop at Mc Crap Food in Cooma *

Get to Camberra, go to check, no record of booking….......... arrrgggh Show email confirmation etc, OK we’ll fit you in (good plan lady, otherwise we are leaving the kids with you) This takes half an hour, the whole time double parked, with kids starting kill rather than maim each other. Finally bed time, 10:00pm, or so we think

*Kids in tucked away, phone rings “from your bank, police rang us, the have you credit card” we call BS, as we are looking at. So thinking that this is a con, hang up and ring bank up. Guess what!!! No con at all, forgetting the kids have visa debit cards in our names….......... Boy wonder dropped his wallet in Cooma After a quick call to Cooma police, it seems he has done his cash, but still has card, ID etc. They will look after it for us until we roll back through in two weeks!!!!! Up side of that, is we’ll go home via Jindy WOO HOO good friends, good times and lots of snowboard shops.

At least I got some toast at 6:300am and rubbish food at 7:00pm.

Finally the end of Friday is here !!!!

When my alarm went off at 4:30am, I swear even though I got up, I didn’t wake until I stopped for fuel at Yass an hour later

We hit the road at 4:50 and drove and drove and drove…............. and drove some more.
Finally at 8:20 last night we arrived at our acom in Brisbane for the next few nights. Righto kids, get your bags out, we are going to the airport to pick your sister up, her plane lands NOW

So left the city, out to the airport, pick up, drive back in….................. so heading towards the 17th hour in the car we can FINALLY call it a day PHEW.

High light of yesterday, Boy wonder wanting to taste the fruit on a prickly pear, after much discussion as how he will get lots of injuries getting one and lots of him telling us we are idiots, it’ll be easy, I stopped and let him do it. I am now laughing at him still pulling thorns out of his hands. He lost his Bear Grylls gustso and didn’t taste the fruit in the end either teenagers

Now its time to chill for a day then off to work we go.
