hey all. im back in 2 weeks. anyone know of a room available end of march/april?
Our house will be pretty empty with only myself in here as of early april (7th I believe) with Dan, rhiannon and pete all heading home. If you’re still stuck for a place then let us know.
I have to admit I was suggesting Jeremy take the camera out for BW pics while I help him But I’m sure that’s what he was thinking anyway
Krick, I think the run was aptly named “In Deep”, hahaha just made the connection. It’s a gladed run off tokem. I’d recommend it if you haven’t been. Finney and I got there early and it was epic.
Wickedly fun day
Oh and bummer the photo came out blurry, otherwise it looks awesome!
Thanks for the accom offers but ive been lucky enough ti find something. fingers crossed it doesnt fall through.
...CJ Parker fell in a massive hole…
Michelle and Dan helping him out.I love how rider is too busy with the camera to do any ‘helping out’!
The Whistler Forum must go on!!!Seriously though, glad everyone was ok.
Where did you guys even find a hole that size for CJ to end up in??
Hey I’m not that big. Well it was a random situation and I guess inexperience in those condition definitely contributed. Upon saying that I wouldn’t take today back at all. Good crew and riding conditions.
Good thing no one I work with is on BW ... I was totally playing hookie from work and actually not far from the job site when this all happened… lol. Good to shred with ya all !
Such an awesome day out there! Pretty much spent the whole day lapping with Dan. No lunch break, just riding all day. Peak opened and the snow was super deep and fresh. No lift lines, perfect timing… just an awesome day!
Yeah as Rider said, such an awesome day!!!
It would have to go down as prob my best day of the season. Jeremy showed me good run after good run, all over Whistler mountain. And the pow off peak today was epic - easy 40-50cm. We found fresh all day! Nearly every run today was the first time I had done it too! Finished it off by riding through the trees down Blackcomb to my doorstep Rode hard from 9-4 without stopping more than a min, and am so shattered Oh and thanks knee for doing so good today!
I was using Jeremy’s old Custom 54, which performed admirably in the deep pow, despite it being considerably too short for me. Extra back leg burn as a result though Was also using Finney’s bindings. Thanks boys! I should be getting my new flying V tomorrow!!!
Well it aint over just yet. But, basically, Showcase were no help (except for providing a box) so I sent it myself to Burton. They said it was definitely covered by warranty. They only had other boards left to give me, no more FV’s. I took Jeremy’s suggestion and found a FV 60 in town. Told Burton and they’ve sorted it all out for me so tomorrow I’ll be able to pick it up in town Once I get it I’ll try and hopefully get my $100 back for postage off Burton…
Yeah as Rider said, such an awesome day!!!
I heard it was awesome up there. Rider called me to let me know… just as I was getting into work!!
At least I got out with the better half for the morning. (Thanks to some extra motivation from Rider.)
She hasn’t stopped grinning all day, so it was well worth it.
More SNOW to come too - about 2 feet more by Sunday!!! (That’s 60cm on top of the 330cm base kids!)
Best season ever!!!??!!
Haha check out the forecast…
Definitely the best season I’ve had in Whistler.
Hopefully the winds on Sunday mean no alpine… Then on Monday our whole household can get into it (first day off work), minus the weekend crowds too.
c’mon Monday!!!!!
Until then I’ll just keep my head down, shovel away at work and wait to reap the rewards
Garrghhh!!! It’s dumping up there and I can’t go this weekend because I have a midterm on monday :@
Who is heading up Saturday?
I’ll be out for most of the day.
Snow should still be great.
