How’s the condition up there? Planning to go tomorrow

Well, yesterday was epic! I was on Whistler from 8:30 to 4:30 and we didn’t get bored. (well not until the legs finally gave up at the bottom of the tree run near Peak to Creek)
Forecast is for only tiny amounts of snow today and tonight so Saturday early will be best.
The snow is holding up great and we enjoyed 2-3’ fresh yesterday.
The obvious places were well worked by late yesterday so you will have to really hunt though if you want any untracked on Saturday.

Yea hopefully I can find some fresh. I take it that west and bagel bowl is pretty tracked?

Doesn’t matter what was tracked out today.. was snowing from 2pm onwards up there and there was next to nobody on the hill from that stage onwards. Got around 1cm on my board in the 30mins it was outside the lift hut at the end of the day. Get up there early tomorrow or the weekend warriors will get it all

Such a sweet day up there. I needed it too. I got in line at Peak early; I was the 5th chair up, one of the first people down Shale Slope. I literally lapped Peak Chair all day. Fresh lines all day in different areas. I am a happy boy.  grin

Went today, got there a bit late. Only got 2 runs in whistler, peak to creek and exploring the trees in upper/lower whiskey jack area to emerald. Switched to blackcomb and had my best tree runs so far. I usually don’t do trees often but today the snow was pretty good but a bit moguly. Did Raptor’s Ride, Bark’s Sandwich, and Little Cub. Also lap the terrain garden once, still trying to land clean on the jumps.

Well today was interesting.. nothing like pow on a saturday to bring out all the weekend punters.

Sure it’s great to see everyone stoked but all it takes is a few ungrateful people and their useless comments to destroy a day at work. Looking forward to Mon-Wed to go riding and forget about the work week.

We had a sick day on Whistler today. We started with a big Boardworld crew: myself, Just Giver, CJ Parker, Dan83, finney, and shaner. Winds were pretty crazy, so the Alpine stayed shut (should be good when it opens). Did a few crazy runs with the above crew, lots of lines and good snow. The snow became really heavy and wet in the afternoon, making each run harder and harder. CJ Parker fell in a massive hole, which kinda made my day haha. shaner went huge off this pillow line I pointed out for him. I took a photo but it was blurry from all the moisture (I’ll post it anyway). Really fun day, now I’m looking forward to getting into the Alpine.

That black dome you can see under the tree is the top of his helmet.

Michelle and Dan helping him out.

Freedom.

shaner going big.

I still keep laughing at CJ;s pics, if i was there i would have been wetting myself!

Sick line by shaner!

I thought you all must have been getting some good snow, as its been a while since there has been lots of activity in this thread

...CJ Parker fell in a massive hole…

I love how rider is too busy with the camera to do any ‘helping out’!
The Whistler Forum must go on!!!

Seriously though, glad everyone was ok.
Where did you guys even find a hole that size for CJ to end up in??

As stated in the other thread, awesome day out on Whis.

Hit up a few run with Dan to start off with plenty of fresh through the trees then met up with the whole crew. shaner and I missed out on all the CJ getting buried shenanigans but got some crazy lines all the way down to creekside, there were a few interesting moments involving avoiding cliffs but all ended well. Met back up with the crew and got some more lines in before I was shattered and decided to call it with all the heavy snow.

On a side note I’ve been craving some sushi village action again since the last visit. Anyone else out there keen to hit it up?
