Push Snowboarding at the Burton US Open

What’s up everybody!

Matt here from Push Snowboarding. We recently posted about our project in this thread here https://www.boardworld.com.au/forums/viewthread/1718/

We’re super stoked that in just a few weeks we’ll be taking the kit to the Burton US Open in Vermont for some of the team-riders to test out and even give you a chance to test it out for yourself!

We’d love to hear your ideas for how you’d use the kit or any advancements you think would work well. It’s an open project, meaning your suggestions could shape its future!

If you’re headed to the Open be sure to come and find us in the Sponsor village, and if not we’ll be posting updates here too!

Just getting ready to head to Vermont for the US Open, and wanted to share this video of a few precious moments we captured from our alpha tests in Austria. If anyone’s headed out there, you can come try the kit!

What’s up guys!
Just dropping in to say hi. We’re all set up at the Burton US Open and ready for our first public showcase. It’s dumping today and making it pretty hard to see or film anything. We’ll have some pics/videos from the event and testing from Stratton soon, but for now I wanted to show you guys this video of the kit in action — testing with Terje Haakonsen at The Arctic Challenge a couple weeks ago.

Would love to hear what you think!

Thanks, Matt

Cool video with Terje, guys. That would be awesome to try. You going to be doing any demos in Australia? I’d be keen to try it out for sure.

Hi rider26, Thanks! Glad you’re liking it. We just got back from the US Open and we’ll have some more awesome video to share soon. No plans for heading to Australia at the moment though…

Hey everyone

We’ve just released three new videos from our testing at the Burton US Open! We had a great trip out to Stratton Mountain. Everyone who came by the tent was really into what we were doing. Plus we also had some pretty special riders from the Burton Snowboard team using the kit!

First, we had TTR World #1 snowboarder Peetu Piironen use the kit on the US Open Slopestyle Course.

Then Seppe Smits, TTR World #2, took the kit for a few spins on a freestyle run.

And 14-year-old Burton team rider Tim-Kevin Ravnjak hit the US Open half-pipe for his debut Push Snowboarding ride.

Not only did we film the riders, we also collected their data and will be making it available for all to download on the Push Snowboarding website http://www.pushsnowboarding.com/tech/developer-centre/

We’d love to hear what you think about the videos!

Thanks
Matt

Cool vids!

How interesting - the 14 y/o has such a low heart rate compared to the others.

Cool vids!

How interesting - the 14 y/o has such a low heart rate compared to the others.

Great to see comparing the data across the runs. There’s a run of Joachim Krogstie we filmed at the Burton European Open where his heart-rate was about 70bpm for parts of his run.

Be an interesting study to see the heart-rate difference across riders of different ages.

Hey everyone!

To follow up on the last videos I posted, we just released an awesome recap video of the Burton US Open. The video highlights what went down at the public launch of Push Snowboarding at Stratton Mountain, and you’ll see the from the reactions and feed back from Burton team riders Peetu Piiroinen and Seppe Smits, a US Open judge and the public that people are excited about the technology!

?

Hope you like the video - we’d love to hear what you think!

Thanks
