Hehe that felt like an assignment back at uni. Rushing like madly to submit on time
Ha, dog ate my homework - was out all day yesterday and completely forgot the camera. Nice snaps there Dan.
Forgot my camera every day of work this week aswell.. but on the upside It’s in my bag next to me now sitting at Vancouver airport about to head off to Big White for 3 days with a slight chance of 1 day being spent in Revelstoke if my buddy in Big White can arrange a shift swap at work
Will post up some pics/video after the trip.
Sounds great, have a mad trip finney!
Since many of us are still in Whistler, anyone got an idea whether tomorrow (Wed) or Thursday will be better / fresher snow??
I’m trying to shuffle work times AND actually be organized enough to ride with a few others.
I’m not really looking for hard evidence, more speculation, extrapolation or your best guess.
I just need to justify getting off work.
Thanks all.
Yeah I’ve been checking a few different sites. WB obviously, snow-forecast, and mountain watch. Both days are looking good to be honest. My guess is tomorrow may have a bit more snow but a bit more windy too.
Sorry if I’m a bit late on this, but I would say go riding tomorrow for sure (Wed). Low temps, 15cm overnight. Rising temps and increasing winds during Wed. I don’t think Thursday will be as good. Just my best guess…
Michelle, Lucky (the dog), and I went for a two hour walk past Alpha and Nita Lakes and back up Creekside today. It was so nice out there, I wish I took my camera. We are going to do it again tomorrow.
Just stumbled across this…
Perfect intro to Air Jordan and Waterfall
Sick video. I remember seeing a lot of that happen from the lift line. I’m fairly sure the skier in yellow at 3:26 is Michelle’s brother, Randy.
I knew there would be some breeze today.
BUT Dang, that is WINDY!
Wow, it was insanely windy up there today!!! I was on the lift at Emerald as they were ready to close and it was painfully slow! I think it got to 90-100k winds. In the end they shut all lifts except the bottom ones.
I still had an epic day Got 6 runs in at emerald before it closed. There were so few people and fresh lines galore. Was exploring all the different tree areas, which was all new to me. Best one for sure was I think near ratfink and it cut all the way down to the cat track to emerald. I found it just by following randoms.
With 12cm last night and about the same predicted for today the alpine will be awesome tomorrow, if it opens.
Jeremy, did you manage to get the gondola up and get home?
Krick, I really hope you didn’t take my above advice about today! 90% of the mountain closed. Sorry mate.
No, they were only uploading to Midstation but I made them give me a bus pass to get home.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
Yeah what’s going on with that?! Is that meant to be 6999kph winds
Krick, I really hope you didn’t take my above advice about today! 90% of the mountain closed. Sorry mate.
I don’t know about you, but when I see 6999km/h winds, I don’t go outside!
All booked in for tomorrow though and the 15km/h winds sound much more like it.
Who knows, they might even have more than 2 lifts open tomorrow!!
Sounds like I picked a good time to leave the bubble
wow those winds are looking gnar.
i’d still rather be back there instead of sydney!
last edit from King of the Rail 3 from me! cold night but some good tricks thrown!
showcase showdown soon!
