109 bucks for a day pass?? You’ve got to be joking right??

I think i saw an article a few months back that Australia was the 2nd most (or the most) expensive place in the world to ski and snowboard… You just have to hope that all that hard earned coin is going towards something parctical the for mountains! But still, such a rip!!!!!

And to think if they cut their prices even by 20% they might get more punters to the hill!!!

yeh but ‘they have to make their money in such a short time’ ...bullshite line they spin out every year, even though theres plenty of places overseas that have the same season length, its a simple lack of competition which means they can set prices at what ever they want. Ill be riding selwyns 20 dollar park and maybe NZ.

if your going to do the Aus slopes though the Aus snowadventures guys do make a good deal with accom, travel etc etc all included and it works out pretty decent!

I’m looking to do a package this yr but if I am going to spend that much a day on the lift ticket alone I may as well make plans for Aspen over Christmas like I have been thinking of!!! Even their prices aren’t that excessive!!

yep selwyn’s $20 park deal is where I’ll be at, too…and NZ. The rest is a total rip off!

^ditto that includes food drink accomodation prices….. making snow isnt cheap either since we dont get blessed with as much snow as o/s
when do season pass prices get released??

yup it looks like nz for me!

I’ll prob try to go for the Falls/Hotham Season Pass early bird tertiary, which is $699 before 27 May. So pretty much as long as i do my 7days im clear. Bu also gotta make sure if ive got money for the BW Shred too.
I think this year im pretty much gonna camp in my car all trips to save money (BW trip aside). Did it last year at falls and it was perfect with a mattress in the back of the car smile

Azz could correct me if im wrong, but ive heard they do a deal that if you hold a seasons pass 5 consecutive years they offer your $500 season passes. Like i said i could be wrong

$109 for Perisher $107 for Thredbo. Im going to still pay for the lift passes this year, but how much more can they seriously increase prices by?

109… getting a bit outrageous..

Avatar

People will pay, thats all it comes down to.  I dunno if I will even go back down there this year.  I will be booking 8 days in NZ, inclusive of flights, car hire, accom and 5 days lift tickets for less than what accom and lift tickets alone would probably cost here.  Now that my GF is working for Qantas I might even consider some 4 day weekends in the Canterbury region rather than fork out to the farkers here.

Who are you booking through for your NZ trip nthn?

Maybe perishers price hike is to compensate their new ticketing system? Just read on Facebook about their radio frequency direct Id. Anyone have any more info on this?

Its about time they did this, instead of those hand-held scanner things.
