Had an awesome day on the mountain today. We had a crazy inversion going on; -7 at the bottom, -1 at the Peak. Photos coming soon in the Whistler Blog.

Shot on .mov mode not .mp4
YT will compress it to 720p but shot in 1080@30fps with narrow field spot metering.
Will have to do a 720@60 slowmo of something - suggestions?

I was wrong!

YouTube now supports 1080!!!

The quality looks great!

Is Harry a puppy? He looks so cute.

Maybe slowmo of the dogs chasing a ball? I’ve done that a few times with my dog, Chilli.

Nice idea’s Mizu!!! but I’m not mowing today!!! and they don’t really like a hose down, when they do they don’t shake???? I might try it though.

I’ve seen your puppy vid rider LOL
Harry isn’t a pup but Tilly (Great Dane) is 2yo and still clumsy - I guess that comes from being such a big dog or, as we say, a little horse!!

I might slomo some of Tiilly’s drool. Or when she shakes it, because it goes everywhere.

I tried to video @60fps in the fish tank but ‘Banana’ (the fish) wasn’t very happy about it and kept hiding.

You mean it dropped below 30?!!!!!

That’s our night time temp off the coast.

It’s pretty miserable outside here too. Wet and foggy, and finney texted me this morning saying crazy winds up the top. I’ll probably head up later though…  long face

Yesterday I succumb to Cabin Fever - It was really impossible to go outside for more than 10 min due to the heat. And it’s been that way for 6 days now - being in constant air con for 144hrs is not good.

I was going nuts so last night I drove to the coast. Sooooo nice!!!!!!!! But in my delirium took no cameras or computer or deck chairs, supplies, shade cloth. I was lucky to remember my surfboard - but didn’t use it any way.

Slept on the beach and hooked up with friends, my mate that went to Japan 3 weeks ago coincidentally arrived back yesterday so had a few with him - he made a 50? climate change in less than a day!

By 9am it was getting hot, not warm - H.O.T.  I have some editing to do so came back to lay under a/c before it was impossible to drive. It was a tough call because all the girlies were just arriving to laze around the spazmobile listening to Michael Franti between dips in the ocean after their Friday night jaunts. Not to mention the 2 female German Backpackers parked next to me, that kept me up to 2am drinking and chatting whom shared a coffee with me first thing.

Oh how I miss the beach. :-(

I know where I’m sleeping again tonight.
And think I’ll buy a decent inverter so I can run my external drives and edit on the beach.

I had a wicked time at Big White cool smile We met up with my mate and his girlfriend, who flew over from Canberra. My knee held up way better than I expected too, which gives me renewed excitement about coming back to Whistler. Any interest in me posting some pics of my trip??

@ Rider, looks like I didn’t miss much while I was away wink Hopefully we get some well deserved snow soon (with no rain).

@ Spaz, I’m so glad I’m not in Aus right now. That heat sounds nasty!

Oh yeah Dan, I left Campbelltown at 9pm and it was still >30?. The temp didn’t feel any cooler until I drove Bulli pass, it must have been a 10? difference but that didn’t last long, at the bottom it warmed up again and at 10pm sitting on the beach after a swim I was dry within 15min.

There was lightening down the coast and by midnight the breeze actually became cooler, until then it was hot and yuk. I even was pulling a blanket of beach towels over me just before sunrise. It’s very pleasant now and there are some waves!!!!

I took the BCF tail gate shade- It made a very good shelter from the wind and sand blasting. It additionally made a good shelter from the sun and a place for people to store their kids, dogs and surfboards while the owners ducked home or to the shops. Better still it was a good place for mums and mates to hang and watch kids play and
and the waves roll in while being shredded.

Sheltering from the southerly allowed time to sit out the evacuation before I drove home.
