That trap took about 10 seconds of planning and five minutes to build.
The main design points were good viewing portals to get footage.

Black snakes aren’t very aggressive but keep Browns away. Or at least they are supposed to! I scarred our Black the other week when walking around the dam, then last week opened the gate to my sheds yard and startled a Brown. And he was a biggen!! He took off between the shed and mums sowing room and settled into a pile of bricks. I couldn’t find him when I went around the other side and figure he has gone into the neighbours property.

We took him about 1k up the road into the bush, beside a nice little waterhole.
There is a bush fire not too far from home atm. Can see a nice plume of smoke, wind is pushing it away from us and when the change kicks in later it’ll be going completely away from us WOO HOO.
My cousins were camped the other side of the fire from here and have been evactuated, but can’t get home cause the road is shut, In the middle of moving camp one of the lads with them busted his ankle and has been shipped off to hospital. What an exciting day for them

that pole you have made looks good Mizu. what is the attachment on top? how do you actually put the cam on?
I think that it will be fine without a handle and counter weight unless you are planning on using it as much as Spaz does, his versions look like pimped out versions- i want the gold one! Im on a mission to find extendable ski poles now. ive worked out that anything that doesnt fit in a backpack isnt much good once your out of the park.
also Spaz, I worked out a way to bend the poles i have, Ill put up a picture when i work out how im going to attach the go pro to the end. I was thinking of using one of the helment mounts and drilling two holes through it and through the pole then bolting them together? thoughts?

Drilling holes will work ok but it will also restrict it by being permanent. Something that will slide and twist on the pole is better. I’ve found velcro very effective - especially elastic.
Any elastic material you can sleeve on the pole or a piece of rubber or plastic with 2 holes threaded onto the pole, then stick the velcro on the plastic or elastic and the counter piece on the GoPro housing or put the mount on the plastic.
