The boards holding up fine, hasn’t bulged out any further, but then I haven’t ridden much at all.
I’m really sorry to hear about your knee, Dan. No doubt there will be many more pow days we can shred together.

Had a good day riding with finney and Just Giver over at Symphony on Whistler. The snow was really good over there, I was surprised how fresh it still was. Visibility was pretty decent over there too, unlike the other side of the mountain.
If anyone in Whistler wants a free Boardworld t-shirt, let me know. I only have a few, so first in, first served.

AUSTRALIA DAY IN WHISTLER
It was a great Australia Day on Whistler Mountain today. I caught up with the Boardworld crew - Dan83, finney, and fmf (Cam). I realised after I met fmf that we knew each other from two seasons ago. I saw it all today; blow up Kangaroos, girls wearing denim short shorts, painted faces, guys wearing nothing but boardies, about half the people on the mountain had Aussie flags draped around them. It reminded me just how many Aussies call Whistler home. Good times! We did park laps with a big group of friends, and generally just lapped Emerald Chair. Cam was throwing backflips off nearly everything in the park, awesome to watch!
No doubt most of my fellow countrymen are now down in the Village continuing the party well into the night.

brilliant day on the mountain followed up by a few coopers sparkling ales at tommy’s with fmf and a few others tonight, back to work tomorrow which blows but all in all loving life right now

any idea where 2:23 onwards is shot? I know it’s on whis and pretty sure it’s under Garbanzo at the end but no idea where all these trees are, really want to find this area as it looks amazing

Hmmm I’m not too sure. shaner might know, he knows the Garbanzo trees really well. I’m guessing it’s the trees on skier’s left under the Garbanzo Chair.

I had a really good day on the mountain today. Got up early to beat the crowds. I timed my run down to Harmony perfectly as they just started letting people on and there was no one there. Did a run down Harmony, then went over to Symphony again to beat the weekend crowds. Did several laps there through the trees. Later on I caught up with shaner for laps through the park and down to Midstation.
The snow was super fresh but not deep enough to cover up the icy bottom. In areas the snow was deep enough for a few bottomless turns but overall I was hearing a lot of scraping on the mountain today. We need more snow!

-15 on the mountain right now. I’m going to head up after lunch once the crowds die down.
Yeah, it is cold up there today!!
Peak was so wind blown it almost wasn’t worth it.
Harmony was more sheltered and way easier to enjoy.
Got some fresh turns in, which was a sweet bonus after a full day of weekend traffic.
Just got to pick your spots.
As you’d expect, same icy base (and chunky) still, but so worth getting out.
Got some other stuff to get to today so got my 5-6 runs in then bailed out.
We have a place on Tricouni in Bayshores but have a truck and can meet anywhere.
(I’ll PM some more details.)
