YEW!

Hope all goes well with Chemical Storm Jeff, sponsoring BW is a good way to gain notoriety.

Can you tell us a little about what is happening with the brand this year?

Its going to be a very important year for Chemical Storm. We are officially releasing our boards onto the Australian market for the first time. So a lot of our time will be focused on promoting our products to distributors, retailers and more importantly to new riders. This year we will will focus on building a team of riders (snow/skate) to represent the brand here and abroad which is another important step for Chemical Storm. The team will be predominately made up of Aussie riders since we are an Aussie snowboarding company. If you know any young up-and-coming rider who deserves support please let me know.

I am hoping to sponsor/support a local snowboarding event this year. I will be trying hard to get involved with the two major demos that are held at Mt Hotham and Thredbo every year. The only way for people to truly understand a new product/brand is to test ride the product for themselves.

We will also be working on a short promo film which I am very excited about.  The expected release date is May/June this year. Alot of people still don’t know what Chemical Storm is or stands for. The aim of the short film is to show what we’re all about. The production will be done in L.A by a close friend of mine who is a leading 3D designer and film maker so it should be something special smile The action shots will be filmed in Switzerland/Austria and performed by our Swiss test rider, Thomas Zbinden who is a young and up and coming rider. He has been helping us out last year with product development. I am hoping he will join the CS team on a full-time basis.

I would also like to let people know here that Chemical Storm is ALSO a skateboarding brand. Last year we supported Newton’s Nation which was a action sports and music festival held down at Bathurst. Once again we will be supporting this event which will become a major action sporting event in the Southern Hemisphere.

Chemical Storm is passionate about supporting Aussie skateboarding at the grass roots level. Last year we sponsored several skating competitions in support of the Goodna Youth Services, who are a non-profit organisation that run youth outreach programs in the western suburbs of Brisbane. I am committed to supporting this great youth organisation on a long-term basis.

I am pleased to announce that Chemical Storm, Boardworld and Monster Energy will be sponsoring the Goodna Youth Services skateboarding competition on the 19th of April. Proceeds from the event will go to the youth outreach program. Not only is it important to raise funds but to bring back smiles on young people through a fun day of skateboarding who were affected by the floods. Goodna and Ipswich were come of the worse hit areas.

As you can see there is a lot planned for Chemical Storm this year, including a possible company launch in Brisbane in July. However, I want people to know that Chemical storm will always be developing and testing new boards, supporting young riders and community events. I want the rest of the world to know that not only do we have great riders here in Australia but we also produce some of the best boards too.

Once again thanks for the warm welcome and please always fee free to send me your comments or suggestions. We are a new brand and depend heavily on your feedback if we are to succeed in achieving our goals.

Jeff

Great news!  Really like the logo and board design looks pretty sweet.  Cant wait to see some of the gear in person.  Hope things in Bris are starting to dry out and clean up!

Great to hear you like our logo (which I have tattooed on my chest smile) and our first designs. I hope that we can get our boards out to as many peeps to check out.

Things are starting to dry out and we are all pitching in terms of clean up. There is so much community support and spirit that it is for this reason why I have chosen to base myself and Chemical Storm here in Brissy smile

All sounds pretty sweet Jeff. I hope you have lots of success with the company. I love the logo and board design too.

I’m looking forward to checking out your boards when they come available. I’m a big convert to the hybrid rocker/camber boards. Have been riding the new Custom flying V of late and love it.

@ Dan83 - I am stoked you like the logo and our first board design. I do hope you get an opportunity to test one of our boards soon. Maybe at Thredbo in September for the Boardworld Shred Down??  I am also a big fan of the hybrid/rocker boards so much so that I have focused all my attention on developing a range of CS hybrid/rocker boards first up.

Thanks for the best wishes, I hope CS has an opportunity to carve its own niche market over the next few years. At the end of the day, its a dream come true to get this far. Anything else is a bonus! Who thought you could design/produce snowboards from Australia, especially from Brissie smile

@ nytesky - Thanks for the welcome. I’m really excited to be part of this forum. Looking forward to meeting new people and getting feedback/comments on our products. Boardworld members will have exclusive access to the latest CS news, products and prizes/giveaways.

So stoked!

I got a a Chemical Storm, 155 Octorocker (shadow scream) which arrived last week. And a couple of T’s, hoodie and beanie.

They are all great, it’s been cool enough the last few mornings to try out the hoodie and I’ve been sporting the t’s. To warm for a beanie!

And I really need some snow - the board is much nicer than I anticipated!!!!!!! Want to ride it sooooo baaaad.

Thanks Jeff
