What month you looking at?

Steer us a little I can tell you what weekends work for us. Is it a weekend gig?

Man, this sounds so awesome. Except for the fact that a weekend gig from Perth isn’t exactly a cheap option. And for the problem that I will be mid-thesis! :-( This all makes me very sad. I may very well decide to take a week off somewhere anyway and check out an Aussie resort! So far I’ve only ridden in Japan and NZ! Depending on if either a) I can convince a friend to go with me or b) I can find a BW member willing to hang out with me for the week!

PS I can’t believe I didn’t see this thread sooner!

Maybe a vote ???

I was thinkin a spring deal so $$$$$ aren’t an issue for some + plenty of accom + less crowds on the mountain/parks!!!!

Whatever the masses think but!!!! If it’s planned early as, then people shouldn’t have a problem organizin some leave from work/study/bummin!!!!!

Any non-busy period is good for me. Crowds make me crazy.  shock

Pretty much any Wed, Thur & Fri rocks it for me.

Early Sep is usually a good time to go. Cheapest price and still decent snow usually.

Sounds good to me. smile

I actually have a meeting with the Managing Director of Skimax on Sunday. He is currently in Whistler visiting his daughter. Anyway, I might see if he can do put something special together for Boardworld. No promises, but I’ll see what he says.

There’s always the option of staying in Jindabyne. Cheaper and better accommodation, and I’m sure we will have a bunch of cars. I also have a good relationship with Thredbo YHA, I’ll see if they can give us something in return for some advertising/promoting. Hmmm… lots of options.  cool smirk

Cool! Very random hahaha. I always find skimax cheapest for OS snow trips.

I remember also a 3 day (long wknd) deal at Thredbo in the $300s with a 3 day lift pass staying at the Riverside Cabins, also for Sep.

Edit: I think it might have been around $390, but still pretty good.

Whatever (and whoever) deal is found; run it by me first.

After 11 seasons living in Thredbo I know a few peeps in different accom. services and who run/own apartments.

Early September is a good option - but mainly price wise, with several people locked in; even staying on Crackenback Ridge will bring the accommodation costs below $200pp (one of the best ski in/out locations) and beds 14 or more. With large numbers, mid-late Sept the cost could come down to under $100pp.

There is a very special week peak season with no crowds - it’s the week following school holidays when no races are on. It will depend on Thredbo event schedules and it’s often prior to RIP CURL freeride and FIS races. I’ve always been amazed at the lack of crowds. It often coincides with Ski Demo Days.

Brandy, (and all other BWM) I’m in Thredbo every other day and travel between SWrnSyd/Wollongong often. I will have my own place in Riverside Cabins your welcome to stay/travel with me.

The conditions of staying with me:
NO obnoxious twits (thats an idiot not an internet blogger)
Accept my obnoxious twittery.
Must cook for me and my flatmate.
If you drink - expect me and flatmate to drink as well - your shout.
If you smoke - same deal as drink. wink Your shout!
Most importantly YOU MUST BE UP FOR FIRST LIFTS (or dead) Not hungover or sore from day before dead - dead means no heartbeat/breathing. If you are dead your body will be dumped over the balcony in the river to make room for the next Boardworldian.
You may not pay to stay.
