I’ve gotta say!
When you combine; stepdad (who likes gadgets), huge house (to bury years of gadgets in) and a house clean out while he is on holidays; consider this - 3X 5m skip bins and trying to fill the 4th bin. Stepdad finally got into his office and I did score!!!!
On the list of things I’ve salvaged;
Sony surround sound DVD player system (inc. 5 speakers)
Panasonic Stereo (3 speakers)
2X 300GB hard drives
Sony Hi8 digital camera (full kit)
Sony Handycam miniDV camera (plus 10 spare tapes and full kit)
2 tripods
^that’s this week!!!!!!!!
Things of note I’ve let go in the bin;
Telescope
Studio lights and stands
2 working printers
Industrial photocopier (I spent an afternoon pulling it to pieces and salvaged; several electric motors, 2 electric clutches, belts and gears, heavy duty filing draw runners, brackets and sprung hinges) >all for my car so I can build a motor driven glove box to house my computer and accessories cradle and 10” monitor.
There are still 2 garages filled to the ceiling that needs going through. (one is all my stuff and won’t contribute to filling the bin much) I know there are 2 large screen TV’s (old school) and about 6 VCR’s all in perfect working order. A couple of hundred unused 6 min VHS tapes + covers.
For 3 years mum’s been planning a garage sale that I decided was never going to happen and after I started getting rid of stuff a month ago the bug has gotten to them and everything is going. No time to Ebay or find stuff a home - just toss it!! we need to free ourselves from all the useless stuff.
My 5 old/broken surfboards have to stay, so does the mountainboard and my car parts (there are some old skis there too). But I think we may have emptied one of the sheds enough for me to put my stuff in so I get a garage space for my car. 
I even found a good stash of the X’s that I happily threw 
spaz, I am freaking out thinking you may have thrown out good stuff dude !!!!
How will I sleep tonight wondering if you tossed out stuff I just had to have?
Unfortunately I’m workin on NYD so I’ll have a few quiet beers, but doubt I’ll be partyin with burlesque dancers!!!!! (maybe when I’m dreamin)

I KNOW!!! I’m a horder big time! it was very hard and a lot of good stuff is sitting in the bin and I walk past it many times a day. Now I don’t even look in there.
In the 2nd bin that went I helped the gardener move a 0.5 tonne stump. He had cut it in half and when I saw it and got a good smell of how good the wood was - it was tragic - I love wood and making stuff with it.
I recycle so much stuff/junk/rubbish, all the time, this is just a few tonne over a decade of hoarding. Most of it is rotton or rusted. The good heavy stuff I kept (furniture) for fixing (most of it I didn’t even know was there for all it was buried under)

Morning and GOODBYE 20TEN
Well last night I decided to have an early night, boy was that a bad choice! a nip a cognac before climbing under the sheet set my guts in tumble mode. My computer compressing a long movie got too hot and froze with the fan on - at 2am.
So I was up at 2:30, tummy churning, 50 inches of monitor glaring at me and I haven’t been back to sleep. I’m about to have a 3rd go at this export setting.
I hate DVD!! Good old fashioned VHS never had these problems.
Last day of the year!! and what a ripper of a day. 40 degs! gonna be hot night dancin away!

Yo, hope everyone is having a cranking day.
Had a blast on my cousins jet ski this morning in the surf, with my nephew hanging on behind me, wicked fun !!!
Chillin now until firewoks and drinks tonight.
I was meant to be cookin fish for dinner tonight only it wasn’t taken out of the deep freeze.
So I’m let off the hook!!!!!! 
I did a bit of outside work until the birds told me it was to hot (they started sitting in the shade looking dehydrated), showered and tried to get that dam DVD done- no luck, I fell asleep!!!
Stepdad is doi g Mongolian Lamb then I’m heading for the coast.
I’m feelin amped…..
I’m now hangin on the beach at a dance party, met up with some mates who need someone to carry the esky of beer which went in the snocam mobile and I pulled up in a sweet park at the party
Me and Mrs Mizu just spent a couple of hours swimmin and drinkin a bottle of Champas down at the beach, with some hot chips and BBQ sauce as the last meal for 2010!!!!!
You dont swin mizu, you just sink…......
As opposed to me.. If I don’t swim I stink!
Ooooo… angry Mizu needs some cold weather.
