i think i get the most damage on my boards from skiers! they really don’t care about their equipment and my boards always get scratched grrr.
good luck on the repair holding k2******
Im having a bit of trouble switching from heel side to toe side.
Will turning the back binding to a more negative angle help this issue ??
I can’t see why it would make a transition from your heelside to toeside edge easier. Can you describe the problem you are having in more detail? Also it might be worthwhile to start another thread about your problem in Rider Progression, so more people can give you advice.
Im 6’2 bout 90kg board is a burton custom x wide 162
theres not alot of movement in the boot ( burton ions ) and the bindings are great but i just seems to have to really throw my back foot around to get onto the toe edge.
maybe its just me being lazy and unfit or poor technique but with the new board i would have thought it would be a bit easier.
Im only an intermediate boarder but im currently doing a season at park city so ive got plenty of time to practice if anyones got anytips.
thanks guys
yeah rockin a size 12 boot i kinda had no choice but to get a wide board.
Im thinkin of buyin a new board again soon something pretty flex.
boots are centered.
might try a slightly closer stance.
cheers.
This is almost certainly a technique issue. The fact that you are saying you really need to ‘throw your back foot around’ screams technique problems. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact problem without seeing some footage or a better description of what’s happening, but my first thought is get more weight onto your front foot. You want your body perpendicular to the angle of the slope. i.e. equal weight on both feet, even when riding steeper slopes. You should be initiating your turns with your front foot/leg/hip, never ‘swinging’ your back foot around.
Is there anyway you can upload some video of yourself riding? Or maybe a detailed description of what is happening? I can keep throwing suggestions at you.
