Pelican cases aren’t that expensive for what they can withstand- I wouldn’t call the price crazy, it’s justified.
They’re an Australian brand and come in any size.
They can be a good base to start from to build waterproof housings as well.
I managed to ‘borrow’ an F-Stop Tilopa BC pack this weekend - man, the straps are solid. Even though it’s a 50L bag it sits real tight on your shoulders and you could totally shred with it.
Loka or Tilopa BC? decisions decisions

For what they withstand ya they are great, I mean they are pretty much what the little black box on a plane is made out of. The thing about them that is not great is are you going to haul your gear to the peak in a pelican case, or hike into some backcountry? I think pelican cases are great and have there uses but its more a apres shoot kinda gear hauler. If I where to be flying somewhere and could not have my gear as carry on then thats the way I would go.

Did you get to ride with it on? I really like the way it felt on to they are definitely on top of the market for active photog bag. I know it wont take long until they are the bag of choice for sports and landscape photographers. Great news to for all you in Australia… I just heard the supplier down here just got the delivery so they will be shipping out of here now. If you in Sydney area and want to check out some of the bags let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
I’ve ridden and shot with a Tilopa and with a couple of prototypes - one which became the Loka. Like I’ve said before, no problems shredding with them on.
What are the 4 bags you mentioned? I don’t see anything new on the site.
What stores in Sydney will be carrying F-stop?
From what I was told they wont be sold out of stores (as of yet). The guy here is more of a distributor and rep. So if your buying something it is in Aus already so shipping should be cheaper and faster.
so what about the 4 new models?
Checked out the F-stop gear last night.
They look the goods - made for exactly what want - boarding with camera gear.

It was my bad, I clicked on a old link saying new bags from fstop and saw the Maverick, Bard, Navin and Mala. But they are are old bags I just never paid much attention to them as I dont use shoulder bags.
ah, I see. I have the maverick to carry my flash gear. I love it

Correct, the case is amazing. It can withstand water, shock and heat (not sure about highest temp.) I acutally picked this case up from a mate who sold it to me for $150, originally purchased for almost $400. The good thing about these cases are they are light and has a lifetime gurantee.
Like I said before, I only use this case when storing (just in case) or traveling. My gear is normally stored in cargo - don’t like the idea of carrying my gear with me on a long flight.
Yes the whitety is a 300!! haha but it’s not mine
