The STOKE thread
I’d be stoked to here an update on snowflex now you’ve been riding it a bit slider.
The boxer engine still has another 175K.
Stoked I have a 4pot boxer!
I will have to get to that…
the basic story is that I am accepting that there is no such thing as a carved turn on snowflex. I’ve not totally given up on it, but I’ve never seen one.
I know that my new Burton Custom Flying V turns much better on it… rather than skidding turns. But I dont know if that is due to shape, or edge tune. As the ROME is was on had very detuned edged all the way down.
Any way. I’ll probably give a more detailed update with pics when I have time.
I got a vid of me doing a lame BS3, I’d like to have a better vid to share, though.
I’ll see if I cant get one this weekend. I need to learn a clean 3 first, lol.
They are kind of sketchy.
What I really like about Snowflex is that it is such a “training ground” for me. I’ve not taken much time to learn freestyle. I just ride the whole mountain. when the snow is good, it is hard to get me in the park. I’d rather be making turns.

What am I stoked on today?
I just finished writing a speech that I will give on Friday evening to the graduating class of nursing students. I teach a couple nights a week there and they asked me to speak at the pinning ceremony… pretty cool, and I’m stoked that I worte out somethign half decent to day for them.
I’ve not got the Yakima rack on the Subaru yet. It was a long day and dark when I got home, sp possibly tomorrow.
But After work, I think I’ll run and then clean up, and go to the evening job for a staff meeting… if there is still daylight, I may see if I can get the rack on.
There was something else I was stoked on, but I forget.
That new Nitro video on the home page was pretty sweet.

Stoked it’s warming up a bit, Blackcomb is opening tomorrow, and there’s a bunch of snow on the way.
