Hi Emma!
Im looking at doing the season in Japan for 2011/12. Ive been riding for a few years now and done a whistler blackcomb season with rider26, so i trust his judgment 100% on other resorts around the world!!
I was looking at going back to Canada, but Japan is just something new and exciting for me and i hear the powder is just AMAZING!
Anyway hit me back and maybe we could talk further?? Ill be looking for other recruits to come with!!

this is not necessaryMore people actually get hurt in Japan, either slippin arse over on ice or gettin smacked down by snow that’s fallin off roofs, than get injured ridin the mountain.
*After a good session at an Izakaya, any assistance with the feet is a positive for me anyway.

I’ve done a few seasons in Whistler and tbh would probably laugh v much at someone wearing them there. However, I’ve also spent a few weeks in Niseko and remember falling/almost falling on my ass in the village there more times in a week then I have in my life.
I think I have to get them (esp. for my dad) before we go to Hakuba in 3 weeks. Also that link is dead. just google yaktrax if your interested.
Those photos of hakuba look amazing. Rider are those shots on or off piste? How does local ski patrol feel about off piste and backcountry?
How many bars/club (if any?) are within walking distance of Happo One Village? Short Cab? Rider you don’t have to answer that I know your allergic to/afraid of alcohol and the dark.
Anyone else here going to be in Hakuba in the second half of feb? I’d love to meet up with someone who knows their way around the mountains a bit.
