Snowboarding Camp with Education Options

Transition Snowboard Camp (TSC) http://www.tsc.net.au is stoked to announce their 2012 offering of snowboard coaching travel and accommodation options for teenagers up to 18 years of age in both Australia and New Zealand for not only the July and September School Holidays but for the complete winter School Term 3 at Mt Buller, Victoria with the Australian launch of the Transition Academy.
Transition Academy provides education and accommodation options for snowboarders during Term 1 in Breckenridge, Colorado USA and now Term 3 at Mt Buller Victoria. Providing access to world class training facilities snowboarders can now achieve to the highest level like 16 year old Declan Vogel Paul who completed Term 1 at the Transition Academy in Breckenridge whilst completing Year 11 at Carey Baptist Grammer School in Kew Victoria.
Declan competed and represented Australia in the newly announced Olympic discipline of slopestyle at the US the prestigious Revolution Tour and also represented Australia at the Snowboard Junior World Championships in Spain. Making finals and finishing 12th in a field of 72 snowboarders in the Under 20 Division. Spending 4 months away from the classroom he was able to keep up regular communication with his school back home with ongoing tutoring through Transition Academy. He has now stepped back into the classroom with above average grades to complete Term 2 at school without his snowboarding or education having to suffer.
With transfers from Melbourne International Airport in Victoria or Queenstown Airport in New Zealand. TSC and the Transition Academy is accessible from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand with experienced tutors and a new education annex to be announced shortly at Mt Buller.
Along with education TSC prides itself on providing professional snowboard coaching from internationally qualified coaches from right around the world along with guest coaching from TSC team riders Lauren Staveley and Tim Laidlaw and guest Aussie and NZ pro’s. The only prerequisite is that you can link turns confidently on blue runs, campers are then grouped according to goals to ensure each camper gets focused coaching.
Our coaching approach emphasises development of superior fundamental riding skills. We want our riders to be the best snowboarders they can be. With developed skills snowboarders can choose whatever path they wish: competition, freeride, instructor or just having fun, we cater to each individuals needs and engage a lifelong passion for snowboarding.
All participants are involved in short-term and long-term goal setting with our coaches, completing ongoing video analysis weekly so riders can access their own footage, and we encourage the development of editing skills for documenting snowboarding including photography. We also have prizes from our major sponsors Burton and the option to demo their new products as they become available.
