My first snowboard

Hi everyone

New to forms in general ,  But I thought I’d ask the question
I surf,  and skated when I was younger ,  and have snowboard a few times New Zealand and Japan ,  the more i do it the more i want to Chase the winter !!

I’d say I’m an intermediate border I’m not in the parks or anything just nice big long calves down the mountain.

So I’m looking to buy board
I’ve been looking at a package deal that Melbourne snowboard are doing
It’s a M3 convoy 2 board…  and not for lack of trying I can’t find any reviews of it online .

If anyone could give me some feedback good or bad that would be great

aren’t they just an entry level brand? mate, pay peanuts get monkeys…..
buy cheap, buy twice….
id rather get a good condition broken in second hand board than some
cheap rubbish. either that or spend abit more. say do 2 less days this yr
and put the $220+ into the board! if you just want to freeride, mostly just
carve and go fast, you want a stiffer cambered board and a stiffer binding.

I hear you and i understand exactly what you’re saying

So my next problem is I know a loy about surfboards,  I don’t know that a match about a good midrange snowboard for all Mountain riding..

And there’s just so much information online gets confusing
Any info or a point in the right direction would be great thanks

Melbourne snowboard were doing some good deals on lib tech pre winter.
it depends on your budget, but the TRS was 620 bucks. there were deals
on here as well, maybe have a peak?  mate, I got a mid range board when
I started and by the end of the season I was looking to upgrade. put it this way,
would you buy a chinese popout surfboard for $400 over a $700 board from
a well known shaper? the more you pay the better tech and materials you will
get. simple things like faster low maintenance bases. ride mid range, it will
slow your development as a rider down IMO. if your gunna be just bombing
down the mountain, get a stiff flex cambered board. I had a bunch of ride
timeless’ over a 12 yr period till they stopped making them. those boards were
incredible. stiff, full camber, setback stance, go as fast as you want and super
stable and really get a knifeline carve going. they make them again now, different
shape but basically for the same style of riding but they are around 900 plus!
