I head over to Myoko on Feb 9 and looking at the 14 day outlook it’s getting better.  I agree with Mizu - give it another 2-3 weeks and I think it will be a different story…

hey hugh, we leave same date outa syd, late flight with Qantas. you on it?
we go to hakuba first then myoko on 16th or 17th.

We’re in Myoko from 13 Feb until the 22nd then we’re heading up to Niseko until the 28th.

Myoko seems to finally be getting some consistent snow so fingers crossed it should be solid conditions by then but if not Niseko seems to be cranking. ??

This was Myoko yesterday, it’s looking ok in my opinion and we still have a month to go.  They are saying that the next few days will bring in over half a metre.

Nice, and at the tail end of what could be some much needed snow for the Nagano region!!!!!

Hmmmm, the Black Cat counter should be open whilst ever there’s flights comin in/out of the airport, but not sure if they’ll do an overnighter from airport to airport in time????? It’s only two hours away, but all depends on their logistics I guess????? You can only ask!!!!!

Are you stayin close to Narita that night?????

Maybe Airport Limo over to Narita, bags into lockers, go explore, return next day and check in!!!!!

If not, the afternoon won’t be too bad to train ya gear around!!!!! Just avoid peak times!!!!!

On a side note, I read ya Yen predicament over on the evil end, and if your Bank doesn’t hit outrageous fees for foreign cash withdrawals on a Debit Visa Card, I’d just get cash out at the airport ATM’s!!!!!

Especially this close, it’d have to have a massive drop for you to lose compared to exchange over here now!!!!!

We’re are at Hotel Taizan. From what I can tell it’s about a 5 min walk to the lifts.

We hiked the summit at Niseko a fair few times but I only took the gopro with me 1 day. The first run was better but visability was pretty much non-existent so the video didn’t come out too well.

Little bit of a pow fix for those getting ready to go to Japan grin

Ah I see! No I didn’t read anything about that but that doesn’t mean it’s not there.

The way things are firing up in Hokkaido you will definitely be meters above!!
