Cooked up some ribs yesterday after getting home from a trip to Boston. 30hrs in transit didn’t make me feel like prepping the Smokey Mountain, so I just used the regular Weber Q with a water pan and chunk of Mesquite.  Saves a couple of hours as you can get the Q to 110c in a couple of mins versus 1hr+ in the smoker.  Came out ok, not quite as good as the Smokey Mountain though - missing the charcoal flavouring.
Applied my usual rub of smoked paprika, cajun & honey:


Put it in the Weber Q on a water pan with Mesquite:


Poured a beer:


Final result was ok:

damn they all look good. Made burgers on my day off actually. Have this little spring cake tray. made stuffed patties, stuffed em with cheese bacon and mushrooms.

Also Budvar! good choice :D
Its a pain in the arse to find in canberra these days, but easy my fav beer.
