Board set up

Can anyone help me figure out if i need to have a wide board with size 11 boots? I just bought a 2015 rome agent rocker 155, and i have size 11 thirty two boots. Putting the boots on the board without the bindings the boots hang off a lot, and i just wanted to see if that was a problem.

Give us your angles and we’ll know.
Better yet, pics plz.

There will be some “overhang” but you’re probably just exaggerating it (which is okay,) there’s overhang on my boards too, but not enough to make a difference.

What binding did you end up getting btw?

AAAaaaaand, when you say ‘15 AR, do you mean 14-15 or 15-16 (this season’s) AR? =D

The angle is gonna be at like 12 and -6, and I was about to buy the 2016 Union flite pros today, but then i found some burton cartels for $100 on sale so its a toss up between those two.. and the AR is a 2014/15

If they are new Cartels and have the normal screw system then I’d say jump on them.

If they are 2nd hand, you could get 5 years or you could get 1 month out of them (looking in good condition doesn’t mean they are).

If they are 2nd hand, I’d go with the new Unions. The flights are a park binding and are very flexy…

The cartels are brand new but your right they are the est’s and only fit on the channel system… and i didn’t realize the flite pros were for park i thought they were more freestyle.. Do you have any other recommendations for bindings?

Park, freestyle… pretty much the same thing. wink

Binding recommendation… I’d steer you towards the Now IPO. Great all-round binding, solid performance, excellent value.

I wrote this review on the 2014 IPO model: https://www.boardworld.com.au/articles/now-ipo-bindings-review

Yeah those look nice… Are those the new 2016s on that link? And will they fit the rome agent rocker?

^ +1 on NOW bindings.

They’ll fit the AR no probs.

The thing with bindings is that if I were in your position, I’d get non EST bindings, even if I were getting an EST board, and then just use a converter disc to fit it.

Once you get an EST bindings, you’re stuck on an est (“The channel”) board and that’s it.
There’s only a few brands that use this propriety system.

P.S. Maybe try going +15 on your front foot instead of 12, it will probably help more. =)

The Now bindings currently for sale in Australia is the 2015 range. Yes, it will fit on the Rome Agent Rocker and any other board for that matter.
