Me and a few of my friends have been boarding for a while, and are all just now buying our own boards and I just need to know one thing. I already have burton custom bindings and am getting thirty two light boots soon, and I wanted to know what I need on a board thag will make it so it will fit the bindings I already have. I was looking at the ride machete board but just wasn’t sure if it would all come together. Please help me out with what I need to get a nice set up lol
You’ll be fine fittin it all together as long as your bindings are the correct size for the boots, and you have a 4 Hole Disc that’ll allow you to bolt them onto the Machette!!!!!
Welcome to Boardworld, Jnew.
Just make sure you have the 4-hole disc for your Burton bindings as this is what you’ll need for Ride snowboards (and the vast majority of other brands). There’s a good chance your bindings came with this disc, and if not, it’s not hard to get a hold of.
This is assuming your Custom bindings aren’t the EST version, in which case they will only ever work with Burton boards with the channel (slide system).
Feel free to upload some photos for clarification.
Thanks for the help… actually I jsut had to return the bindings because they were too small… now I need to get new ones.. any recommendations? I don’t want to spend over like 130 for them, I am looking on ebay too so they don’t have to be that price new.
To be honest, I can’t think of anything I’d recommend anywhere close to that price range. Anything in that price range would be pretty crumby (super soft, no support, uncomfortable straps, crappy buckles etc.). You’d be better off spending a bit more and having something that’s going to last you a while and help you progress your riding. Just my honest opinion.

-okay what would you recommend then?
And what price range am I going to have to be in for a nice pair?
I can’t comment on second-hand as not familiar with the market, but you’d need to look at around the $200 range and up for a decent set of new bindings. Bindings wear and tear like anything else, so you definitely get a shorter lifespan if you get used bindings.
Something like the Flux TT would serve you well. You’ll get good performance and a reliable binding without spending too much. https://www.boardworld.com.au/products/flux-tt-snowboard-binding-pearl-black
I will shoot you a private message now with some options.
The FLUX TT is a great binding!!!!!
I still ride my 09 TT’s on my short board, and have never had an issue yet!!!!!
Great all rounder, solid build!!!!!
Jnew, reading this thread, I’m gonna ask the question that I may have looks for but I feel is an important question:
You did get fitted for boots right?
That is, you didn’t just go and say “Yeap 32, that’s the boots I’m gon’ use.”
(I hope you didn’t, but if you have, please ask why you shouldn’t.)
Cheers mate, good luck on finding the right bindings, and yes I’m with mizu on the TT…. altho’, if you were 3 months earlier, I’d have sold you my old NOW IPO’s for $100. Unfortunately it’s gone to a mate now.

haha yeah i got fitted boots, i did a lot of research on everything and i tried a few on, i was going to get burtons but then i saw the 32s on craigslist that had never been worn and were my size so i went and checked them out and bought them. Now i just need a board and bindings.
^ Awesome.
I find boots to be the last thing ppl pick out as an afterthought when it should be the first thing.
And I’m speaking from experience being one of those fools picking it last and not thinking about it, and going through a few boots, wasting both time and money.
Even more so as I have flat feet (no arches at all.)
If you’re going to be in them for 6 hours straight, it’s gotta be comfy for your feet and give the right amount of response.
Anyways, have you settled on what kinda board?
^
For sure, i got some boots that are very comfortable for me and I’m glad i did. But yes, i think i am going to get a 2015 Rome agent rocker. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and from what i know i can’t go wrong with it
Can anyone help me figure out if i need to have a wide board with size 11 boots? I just bought a 2015 rome agent rocker 155, and i have size 11 thirty two boots. Putting the boots on the board without the bindings the boots hang off a lot, and i just wanted to see if that was a problem.
You shouldn’t need a wide board. They are generally for people who have 13+s (maybe 12s if you have a short stance or tiny angles (+6/-6) or so)
As long as you are riding the board somewhat normal you should be better off with a normal width board.

Give us your angles and we’ll know.
Better yet, pics plz.
There will be some “overhang” but you’re probably just exaggerating it (which is okay,) there’s overhang on my boards too, but not enough to make a difference.
What binding did you end up getting btw?
AAAaaaaand, when you say ‘15 AR, do you mean 14-15 or 15-16 (this season’s) AR? =D
