My Take on Arbor’s Shreddy Krueger!!!!! (2016 Model)

Avatar

Rider weight: 89kg

Board category: Powder Board

Board size: 162cm (My normal Freeride Board Length)

Stance: Wide and Centered, 15, -15 Binders

Bindings: FLUX DM’s Large

Test location: Thredbo, NSW

Snow conditions: 5 cm’ Fresh plus Windblown Stashes of POW, Groomers, spring slush

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:

- Full rocker profile, Arbor’s “The System” (Parabolic Rocker) was very fun on the mountain.

- GripTech Edges to give some “bite”. In my experience, this was more noticeable than lib’s Magne.
- The graphics are awesome!!!!!
- It rode fast, and floated over anything. Probably the fastest base I’ve had on a board yet?????
- Flex was on the mid side, making it forgiving and playful.
- Great for holding an edge when laying down those turns.
- Stiff enough to bomb runs.
- I was blown away by how much this powder board felt at ease on the groomers.
- A board like this is a real confidence builder while still providing excellent performance.
- Definitely a board I would buy again and again.

This board unlike your ‘usual’ powder Boards, sticks with a normal width to length ratio, and keeps a somewhat longer tail than some, and i think this is the aspects that make this board so usable on the groomers as well as the fresh!!!!!

*I’m yet to ride it in Japan (It’s intended use), and can not wait!!!!!

GripTech!!!!!

GripTech Bump!!!!!

While I’m not that fond of the base’s Graphics, man, I do love what it’s made out of!!!!!

The System Parabolic Rocker as seen in this Tail Shot!!!!!

Arbor’s grip tech is the best edge technology on the market. Like it more that Lib’s mag or even their mag .5.

I was pretty amazed at how well it made a rockered profile feel like it had the grip of a cambered profile!!!!!

Only chocked up one day on it so far, but very impressed at how it rides, and pretty confident that the build quality is top notch!!!!!

I might have to file for adoption?????
