I’m with JAL through the day, and overnight home!!!!!
I hate doin the overnight on the way over!!!!! Can’t sleep in a movin object, and work night shifts for a livin!!!!!
Yeah it’s damm hard to get some shut eye, my girl friend is a sleep in 30mins on a plane. I might scoot in to Sydney then to Tokyo instead might be a easier flight path and might even be a little cheaper that way.
I’m with Qantas…Sydney to Brisbane, Brisbane to Tokyo
^same, sleeping pills for me this time though
Oh yeah!
Just scored business class tickets from Sapporo to Haneda for our trip next year.
Only 14,400 Yen per person.
Not payable until 25 Oct.
Its been a while since I dropped into BW.
But I have 3 weeks booked in January, flying ANA to Haneda with the wife & my liddle girl.
I have been given a leave pass to go japow hunting whilst there, so I have a 6 nights at Minakami Gumna… & I will be boarding at resorts like Tenjindaihara…
That place is famous for backcountry access.
As a noob, I am still yet to decide if I will hit the backcountry, but if I do, this sort of terrain awaits me.

Paid $1260 start of Feb!!!!!
Travel insurance for off-piste riding? What companies you are cats rolling with?
I would also like to know for off piste/out of gates and preferably covers search and rescue

Not aware of any insurance companies that are willing to take on that, unless it’s with a registered qualified guide company!!!!!
Just out of curiosity, how much spending money will be sufficient for a 3 week holiday in Japan? A week will be spent in Tokyo for new years and then 2 weeks in Hakuba. Accom and flights have already been paid for. This is my first time in Japan so though I’d check with you regulars

How long is a piece of string?????
It all depends on where/what you eat, where you go, what souvenirs you get, what/how much you drink?????
I’d roughly base it on what you’d spend over here on a non-snow holiday in an average tourist destination!!!!! Maybe add ~15% due to current exchange rate at present!!!!!
I heading to Hakuba and Myoko this year and a few surroundings mountains.
Going a little later this year to try avoid some crowds. Mid Feb til mid/late March
Try do another 5 or 6weeks, hoping a bit more work pops up or else I’ll just being going for 3-4.
Waiting on tax money to come through now so I can book some tickets!
Will have some crew over there over there working, but other then that, I’ll be riding solo, do if anyone’s heading in the same direction at the same time, hit me up.
I doing all my accom, tickets, transfers through Mint tours again as they did a pretty good job for me last season. Pay a little more but sounds like I’m getting a pretty sweet deal.

No work, all play
Edit: just re-read my post and guess it sounds like I’m looking for work in Japow.
More hoping the holiday season comes a little quicker this year where I am working now so i can actually start doing some saving.
I just booked my flights and will be heading back to Hakuba early Feb. I booked using qantas frequent flyer but flying Jetstar. It says allowed luggage is only 20kg on Jetstar but then says Frequent Flyer allowances are additional, check allowances. And then says 30kg for all qantas flights?
Has anyone used QFF points on Jetstar and know how much luggage you get?
