“It was a dream for me when I first started competing internationally, to push the boundaries of snowboarding. I have been visualizing this trick for a few months and when the opportunity presented itself this season thanks to Monster Energy & Whistler Blackcomb, I felt it was the right time.” — Max Parrot
Well! That didn’t take long lol.
It was super clean too. Looked like he had been doing them for years!
First try, stomped. Respect.
Is it a 1620 tho?
They count each flip as a 360. (4 x 360) + 180 = 1620.
Ah ok. I don’t think it’s a 1620 since it’s an underflip, he’s not really spinning like Billy Morgan’s. More like quadruple underflip with late 180? Very impressive regardless.
I don’t disagree with you. Personally I feel they should only count horizontal axis rotations when calling a trick 900, 1080 etc.
Unbelievably clean for a first try.. Wow
Just like the first triple - The FIRST, then the first landed in a competition are the important ones. All the other combos etc. are a little ho-hum IMO.
I’m not a fan of this whole corking pentuple flip spinarooni too, but it is very impressive nonetheless.
