In March this year, I was fortunate enough to be part of a crew of five Aussie shredders who spent a few weeks Heli-boarding in Haines, Alaska. It took a fair bit of commitment (getting there, waiting for the weather, spending most of our savings), but heli-boarding in AK really does live up to the hype. We scored 7 days, and it was unanimously agreed by the crew that at least a few of these were the best days of snowboarding we’ve ever had - and may well have been the best days of our entire lives. We scored endless faceshots, big ol steep faces, 1000m vertical couloirs, spines, and a whole heap of powdery features to send it off. Plus riding around in a helicopter is downright awesome!
We put together this little edit from the trip. Enjoy
Epic, mate. It’s definitely on my bucket list. I’m stoked on this. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the stoke guys! If you can find the time and cash, I would totally recommend it! Happy to share any insights if anyone is planning a trip. Before the trip, I thought it was going to be a ‘once in a lifetime’ kind of thing - now I’m trying to figure out how soon I can get back there…
Damm!!! Congratulations on living it up and having a great shred. :D
Sick edit hombre!! I’ll get there one of these days soon!!!
