Hey, I am aprox 168cm tall and ive found a wicked bard that I might be able to pick up for cheep. My only issue is its been like 2 seasons since ive done more than a day trip and ive gotten a bit taller. SO im not too sure if this board will be too long for me, its 160cm, and i think a 154 or 142 would be perfect for me. Do you think that 6cm will make a huge difference?
Before anyone else asks, what do you weigh, what is your foot size, what kind of riding do you do and at what level?
Either way, if you’re 168cm tall, a 160cm board is going to be too big. You’d have to be 120kg to make it even close to worthwhile in my books.
I agree with TJ, Im 180cm and I wouldnt ride longer than a 156.. Guess weight depending as the others have said..
Most important question: how much do you weigh?
Welcome to Boardworld, Ben_Mcc!
I weigh about 70kg, I am advanced rider, with an all mountain freestyle and a bit of park riding style.
You’re practically Jez’s size (Rider26 above) and I’m pretty sure he rides anything from a 150-156 (park - powder) I’d probably stay in the low 150’s for anything freestyle.
What size boot do you wear? In case you have massive clompers

The 160 board you are looking at is WAY too big. 152 to 156 is where I would be aiming depending on the board, your riding style, where you are riding etc. 154 would be a good all-round size for freeride/park. Again, depends on the actual board though (flex, camber profile etc.).
What’s your budget? Where you riding? Australia and/or overseas?
