^ NOOOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOO!

Explains why the g/f said “I’m off to Van for the day.”

I hope it gets better guys, because I may be a glutton for punishment, but these days I look forward to getting jealous from all your pics of awesome snow at Whistler.

Yesterday - Lakeside bowl and the BC glacier were decent, about 15cm on top of ice, not too heavily tracked
Today - got absolutely soaked, alpine was called closed from early on due to weather. Anything from about top of Garbos down was heavy and sticky, we walked up Pikas a couple times and it was a bit slow but boot-knee deep and untouched so kept us happy. Rode out at 11, was still snowing at bottom of emerald.

It’s good to be back at Whistler Blackcomb. After a week of less than favourable conditions, it was time to ride some pow. The snow was pretty fresh up top. Had a great day riding with Rhys, Dan, and Henry. We hit up the Grey Zone, the glacier, then VD Trees at Peak. Beers afterwards with the boys, Lu, Alysha, Aus Sandbox rep Andy Walker, and even Andy Aitken popped in a new man after passing his level 3. See you text time, dudes! shaka

yeah it was pretty nice up the top yesterday, vis gets bad in a few places though. i couldnt see much at all around whistler peak. Im glad the wet stuff has stopped for now…

Visibility was pretty bad at times, especially in Whistler Bowl up at Peak, but it was super nice once we headed to VD Trees. I only wish I was the first person through there. We found some nice lines but it was a bit more tracked than I’m used to. All in all, it was a very satisfying day.

How long you in town for, LG?

Typically tickets to signature events like the OLYMPUS Pro Photographer Showdown and the OLYMPUS 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown sell out in a matter of days.

WSSF is set to take place from April 10 to 19, 2015. Ticketed events include:

·      The 3rd Annual Roller Derby Invitational: Silence of the Slams, an invitational Roller Derby bout where Whistler’s Black Diamond Betties will host a rematch against the Sea to Sky Sirens from Squamish. The bout will take place in the Grand Ballroom at the Whistler Conference Centre on Saturday, April 11.

·      In The Beginning, an epic opening party at the Bearfoot Bistro hosted by Monster Energy on Saturday, April 11. An incredible line up of DJs will spin all night long to ensure partygoers dance the night away and leave primed for the next 10 days of Festival revelry.

·      Multiplicity, taking place on Sunday, April 12 at the Whistler Conference Centre, is a must-see celebration of true mountain culture. Featuring multimedia presentations from heavy-hitters across the mountain kingdom, Multiplicity is a fundraiser for the Spearhead Huts Project.

·      The OLYMPUS 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown, a WSSF favourite that challenges filmmakers to shoot, edit, and produce a three to five minute short film within a 100km radius of Whistler over the course of 72 hours. The shortlisted finalists will present their work in front of a live audience on Wednesday, April 15 and go head to head for a chance to win the $10,000 grand prize.

yeh great weekend with the boys and girls as usual. Monday Dan and I tried and failed in our backcountry skinning debut due to some hardcore vis issues and binding malfunctions. we went and got our normal boards and headed straight to the blackcomb T bars to find some fresh stashes, and we scored! vis was limited but we found a few very short fresh lines lookers left above the Showcase T bar and some cool rocks to drop.
