I feel this applies to snowboarding as well. I totally agree with him.

@grunge: So I’m guessing you’re ok with Shaun White right? I like Shaun, I don’t see why people hate him so much. Sure he makes some bad decision (e.g. not coming to Terje’s event, not coming to Supernatural), but I think he’s great.

I did find his behaviour questionable via certain incidences.
But hey, I found Halldor’s ball bath in the club questionable too. LOL.(Was in the article “how it feels to…..” either by white line)
I don’t think they sold out, I think they’re doing everything they can to earn money with what they love. More power to them. If anything I’m slightly jealous, but then again, I didn’t take the risk, right? No one handed snowboarding to them on a silver platter.
Sometimes it’s a bit of luck or whatever, but no need to go hating.
No haters in Japan, but they get celebs to advertise all sorts of $#!t.
Even from America. Tommy Lee Jones = Boss coffee, Brad Pitt = Edwin jeans.

But on that note, I’ll tell you what I think is a sellout and I ain’t go time for?
Ppl who blatantly try to sell their “brand/sponsor/whatevs,” and try to use you to help them market it.
Best example of this is my insta acct. I just like what I like and follow who I follow. Sometimes I unfollow if I get too much of a clogged feed from someone. (Usually a mate who uses insta to do picture dumping -> 200000 pics of their holiday w/ multiple pics. It clogs up my feed and there’s picasa/facebook/photobucket for that.)
Anyways, at times, I get a follow from a company I don’t know, usually from a start-up in action sports or some baller company who likes boats and hoes or something. I don’t follow back blindly, because that’s how I am, I check it out first, and I may not get the chance to look through their stuff in a few days.
But a few days later when I get the chance to find them, they’ve unfollowed me, unliked all my relevant insta pics from what I can tell and there’s no lead for me to find them and try to like them.
Yeah nice one, sellout. Good luck getting to the next level with that kind of attitude.
But anyways, yeah.. that. It doesn’t really bother me, but I do find that annoying.
But as a grrl says, fakers gonna fake fake fake fake fake….
Ah ya, I never really care about instagram. Sure it’s nice when people like your photos (who doesn’t?). But I never cared who liked my pics, who followed me, how many followers I got, etc. Some of the people are just spammers anyway. I usually only follow people either if I know them or if I like their posts.
