Definitely take a dark lens! You may not need it but if it’s bluebird and you’re dead set on riding it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than buying new goggles. Only one day this year did I need my dark lenses but was so glad I had them.

And yeah you should find it dry unless you’re a dumb-arse like me and don’t do up your powder gaiter in waist deep powder on a day it’s +4 degrees at the base.  teacherboy

Never been so cold in my life! On upside I have a sick Cortina hoody now shaka

I think the coldest we got was -10 and it was sweet as.

While I can’t comment on Hakuba’s Park Status, they do set up that bowl ride thingy that looks wicked!!!!! (Not sure about the timing of it though)

Anyways, if you get the powder switch turned to ON, I can pretty much guarantee that you won’t be too worried about the Parks!!!!!

Warm gear, with face cover!!!!! Hopefully you won’t get a warm spell, but I’d take a jacket that can handle the slight possibility of some wet stuff just in case!!!!!

Goggles, go Yellow!!!!! And if ya cashed up, get a clear lens to go night riding with!!!!! But get yaself a High Vis Yellow Lens!!!!! (The ones that look pure yellow, no mirror etc)

I’m a Rose fan for Japan.
Pink lenses, seeing the world through rose coloured glasses. smile Shweet!
I get a bit nauseous riding in yellow lenses.

Glad it’s not just me!
I can be weird like that.

I actually find the rose lenses superior for visibility anyway, so thank you nausea for leading me to try pink wink

I always thought rose was the way to go.

only ever heard of yellow reference here. And for use in Japan specifically.

I would love someone to provide the technical reasons for yellow vs rose (and say clear..) and vice versa!

I ended up grabbing some Yellow/Blue Chrome for my Electric EG2.5’s, would have liked a Rose one but so hard to find!

Any transit time/extra expense saved is awesome news!!!!! shaka

Haneda is much more convenient to Tokyo…

I just wish Kansai was also on the radar for direct flights.
Jetstar only go via Cairns to Osaka, and usually you’re in transit for up to 4 hours if you connect from Sydney.
And those who know, there is pretty much f*ck all to do at Cairns international.

Ive got a couple of mates who are in japow at the moment looking at a block of land to develop at the top of ‘our’ little local resort where we stay each year. I hope they buy it and get to building asap so ive got free accoms in 2016!!
