Sorry for the late update ladies, gents and frothers alike
The Vans Triple Crown has kicked off in style at Haleiwa for the Reef Hawaiian Pro. WCT and WQS surfers are looking for a good result here. The likes of Seabass, Matty Wilko, Julian Wilson and Brett Simpson are all campaigning for requalification on the WCT, and it looks like they’re all off to a flying start. Along with QS dudes all gunning for a spot on the WCT. Nathan Hedge, Damien Hobgood, Ezekiel Lau and Nic Von Rupp
The Reef Hawaiian pro is the first of 3 events, The Vans World Cup of Surfing and The Billabong Pipeline Masters round out the last 2 events. The first 2 events are QS events and the last being a WCT event where we will see either Gabe Medina (and his step dad Charlie) or MF orrrrr Ke11y Slater be crowned world champ.
Reef Hawaiian Pro: Nov 12th - 23rd
Vans World Cup of Surfing: Nov 24th - Nov 6th
Billabong Pipeline Masters: Dec 8th - 20th
Heres some viewing to keep you frothing in the mean time!
PS Ill be away for the next 7 days in New Caledonia so hopefully Rider26 or Walker will be able to update this thread.
Dusty Payne made a remarkable return from injury to take out the Reef Hawaiian Pro, the first event of the Vans Triple Crown. The second event kicks off in a matter of hours. Can Dusty back up his unbelievable performance against the likes of Medina, Parkinson and John John? Should be an interesting one!
