Kutchan used to do it for free (lift pass proviso) in order to get tourists into the town to spend some coin!!!!!
But, ¥100 is still damn cheap by any standards!!!!!
Ohhhh, and I remember why the Taxi return is good value!!!!! Cause you’re normally half tanked by the time ya comin out of Kutchan, and those boxes of goodies and slabs of grog are bloody hard work on the bus, and a downright killer if ya accomo is nowhere near the bus stop!!!!!

I know its hard to guesstimate, as everyone packs differently..
But say just standard stuff.
Board, boots, outerwear, helmets and whatnot. Odds and ends. Books, cameras..
Flights paid and done!
Fly out on 29th Jan and return on the 7th March

As for bags, when I’m going Qantas I get FF privileges so take a bit extra. But this time going Cathay….I’ve gotta cram it all into 23kgs :(

Make sure to spend at least a couple days in Tokyo as the place is a buzz!!!!!
And if there’s around 2 days in transit from one spot to the next, use the Takkyubin (courier service, look for the black cat) to ship us board etc, so ya don’t have to lug ya gear on the plane/train/through the city!!!!! Cheap as, and super reliable!!!!!
