There’s a couple of girls on here that have the Flux GL’s, and I’m pretty sure h0z has 2 pairs now!!!!!

Also keep an eye out for the new GS!!!!! (Pretty sure Jez has them comin in?????)

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Leaning towards the Flux’s at the moment.

Can anyone tell me what the difference between the GS and GL’s? I had a bit of a look on their website but couldn’t really figure it out!

Yeah, as Tambo said the highback is the new Ultima Winged, that’s similar in design to the super popular Men’s DS Bindings!!!!!

It has the Wing which is designed to give that extra grip when puttin lateral flex into the binding for nose/tail presses, and weighting your board in powder!!!!!

If you’re the type that wants to bone out your tricks in the park though, I’d opt for the GL!!!!!

Hope this helps?????

Hey Air180 - thanks for checking out the FLUX bindings.  Stoked your into our new women’s flagship model - the Gs.  As previously mentioned by Mizu, the difference between the GL & the new GS is the highback.  The new semi wing highback on the GS is great for lateral support, and definitely gives you extra leverage & response for free riding.  What I like about it most though is that it gives great feedback about your leg positioning & stance, without being uncomfortable in any way.  So think of more support, but without any extra pressure.

And both the GS & the GL have our new toe strap - which works so well!  It provides incredible grip (has never slipped for me), can be worn as both a toe strap & a toe cap (depending on your preference) and is lighter & stronger than our previous toe straps.  Its so comfortable, you wont even know its there.

So after much deliberation and back and forth-ing I am going with the Now IPO’s. As much as I love the look and sound of the Flux’s the final determining factor was that my (apparently) giant lady boots might be a tad too big for the Flux’s.

Thanks again for all the feedback people! You guys rock!

Now for the girly question, which colour are you going with?  smile

I am getting black/aqua

I really liked the black/aqua, but I’m going with the white cos I reckon it’ll go better with my board and will match my white boots. Totally girly! smile

Perfect!

I love that after the tech talk, functionality, fit for purpose musings there is also the ability to add the girly layer - and it’s totally cool.  Loving it!  kiss

So Grunge are you running three boards with the 3 different bindings?
And do you notice much of a difference between them?
I’ve got Selects in a Medium (US women’s 10/men’s 8 foot), they were supposed to stay on my Southern Hemi board but I love them and the board so much I’m taking them to Japan too .... So much for the ‘leave gear there, save on lugging baggage’ idea.

Sorry for the late reply!!! I’ve been sporadic due to being busy in preparing to move out of my current home and going to see my grrl in Whistler.

Anyways, no, currently I’ve got 3 different boards of which 2 I use with the 2 NOW bindings I have. (1st gen IPO and 2nd gen Drive.)

In terms of difference, I feel a slight difference in response due to the freewing highback on my heel response and carve, but I was a little mindful that it might be just me getting adjusted to it as carving is alot easier than anything else.

I sold my other bindings and have those two only now. However, I’m looking at trying to get the current selects as I’ve noticed that the ankle strap adjustment (opposite of the ladder) tend to snap easily with force. I’ve done this twice now (funnily enough it was when I was in NZ both times,) so I want NOW’s with a stronger, less flexy ladder and strap. Not that I felt a difference b/t them. =)

I’m a bit of a tech junky so I tend to over think about things at times.

I can’t wait to use the Drives on my new jones board tho’.
