New app for snow addicted… coming soon!

Avatar

Hey guys!
For almost a year now our team has been working on a new mobile app for action sports lovers! It’s gonna be a social network with tons of useful features – slow mo, filters and outstanding points earning system for every good trick you`ve made. We have already collected a database of hundreds of stunts for 18 disciplines featured in our app, so whatever you post - Shrick will know it! Plus, you’ll be able to share your tricks very easily: editing, adding slow motion, posting, commenting - everything is done with the means of just our app! Also, every post will let you score points (the amount depends on the content and likes/shares the post collected) and compete with riders from any part of the world - including pros, who use our app!
We are in the finalizing stage of our app and in this November already we’ll be sending out keys to our beta-testers. Learning what riders think about our app is crucial for us, so we’re inviting all of you to participate in the beta-testing.
While we’re still working on the launch, you can subscribe to our facebook page to read all the latest news about the development and other cool stuff: https://www.facebook.com/shrickapp

The idea is very simple – you film your tricks, polish them with our built-in filters and
tools (like adding slow motion) and post them for your friends to like and share. All this
lets you score points and boost ranking among friends and globally! Points are added
not just for likes, but also for the fact of creating a post and for every stunt you do in the
video. This defines your ranking in our leaderboard, that lets you see your place among
friends, in the city, in the country and globally of course! So it’s sort of an international
challenge, like a World Cup that’s for everybody! =)
By the way, if you failed to do a trick but still posted the video of it, you also score
points! It’s another important part of our project – to encourage all kinds of extreme
sports activity!
It’ll be first released for iOS only, but later we are definitely planning an Android version!

Also, dont call tricks stunts, it sounds lame!!

Agreed, stunts are generally in a controlled environment where everything is generally safe and follows guidelines and rules.

e.g. A stuntman jumps off a building onto a giant inflatable mat.

Tricks while on a board or any other type of sport is generally going above and beyond the general activity.

e.g. A snowboarder jumping off a big cornice, a skateboarder doing a kickflip or a basketball player putting the ball through their legs.

They aren’t required to do the sport but make it more interesting and/or fun.

The main prize here is the recognition for what you have done. Later, be sure, after all that sport giants recognize us we would be able to perform some sort of online competitions with real prizes, it’s just the matter of time)
