If you follow and snow focused sites on social media you have probably seen that skiers J.P. Auclair and Andreas Fransson died in an avalanche today.
But you may not have heard that Liz Daley also died today in a separate accident.

Liz Daley dies in Avalanche in South America
It has been a tragic day for the snow sports community. Earlier today we heard the news of the tragic passing of ski icons J.P. Auclair and Andreas Fransson in an Avalanche in Chile. Then we received news via UnofficialNetworks.com that backcountry snowboarder Liz Daley, a professional climber, AMGA-certified mountain guide, and snowboarder from Tacoma, Washington, has been killed by an avalanche in the Argentine town of Chalten in a separate incident. Our thoughts go out to family and friends of Liz Daley.
tragic day indeed

Backcountry demons come every year and take loved ones :(
Horrible news.
didn’t realise it was a separate incident, I assumed, obviously incorrectly, that it was the same one. Now i see one in Chile, one in Argentine. mmmm. stay safe people.
Very crap day for snow lovers. :(
So much experience, such a loss.
Very sad news. RIP.
yep, thats pretty sad indeed.
I’d be lying though if I said I didnt think the thread title meant there was video of it
